Monster Summoning Action Roguelike Sword of the Necromancer Releases Biggest Update Yet!
Barcelona, Spain – February 17th, 2021 – Game developers JanduSoft S.L and Grimorio of Games have released their biggest update yet for their monster summoning action roguelike Sword of the Necromancer. Since its launch on January 28th Sword of the Necromancer has shot into the top 30 downloaded games on the Nintendo eShop in North America and Europe and after listening to the players, an update was created to add some quality of life(after death) improvements:
- An Item Bag has been added that can store up to 4 items and is accessible at any time. Items stored in the bag are not in use and thus do not grant any passive or active effect. Monsters stored in the bag are not healed nor recover their health with time as the monsters you have equipped. The bag will be available after the tutorial level and is enabled by default.
- New options have been added to the Game Settings. Players can now choose to recall monsters from anywhere, start the game on the floor you last played, and enable/disable the new Item Bag. Use the Game Settings to optimise your gaming experience.
- Game Settings screen will appear once upon boot up after having cleared the tutorial.
- Several minor bugs and crashes have been fixed.
More on Sword of the Necromancer:
Sword of the Necromancer is a dungeon-crawler action-RPG with roguelike elements where you can revive your defeated enemies to make them fight alongside you. Turn your foes into allies using the forbidden powers of the Sword of the Necromancer and help the rogue Tama reach the dungeon’s depths to gather enough power to bring her beloved priestess Koko back from the dead. Assemble a small army of monsters, equip yourself with weapons and relics, and level up to take on the guardians that stand between you and your goal.
Each attempt gets you closer to the Necromancer. Upon death you’ll lose all your equipped weapons and monsters, but you will retain part of the level you achieved in your run. As you scour deeper through the dungeon you’ll uncover more of Tama and Koko’s past. Do you think it is dangerous to go alone? Then use the Flask of Homunculus to create a copy of yourself and play with a friend in local co-op! Additionally, there are IR codes that can be scanned to make the game easier. Or harder. The choice is yours!

Treasure-Hunting Roguelike UnderMine Out Now on Nintendo Switch!
VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Feb. 11, 2021 – UnderMine, the action-adventure roguelike brimming with secrets from developer Thorium Entertainment, blasts open secret passages today on Nintendo Switch after more than 600,000 miners enjoyed the game on Steam and via Xbox Game Pass.
Step into the shoes of an unlucky adventurer and charge through a dangerous system of mines and caverns filled with monstrous creatures, puzzling challenges, and heavenly rewards. Fight carefully, for reckless peasants may find themselves meeting an early grave. Death is not the end, as the next poor potential hero receives some of the fallen worker’s gold and can purchase permanent upgrades or get a financial leg up on their run.
Demolition experience is a plus; use bombs as weapons and tools to locate secret passages containing hidden loot or potential allies. If the hired hand can survive against the many malicious monsters in each level, they then have the chance to square off against the massive, room-filling bosses that guard more spoils.
Abilities granted from relics, magical potions, and treasure add a layer of strategy and planning for the mindful adventurer. Make use of these wondrous items, enhancing the current run’s profit margin. Collect all the gold possible to make the next run easier, or purchase equipment and upgrades aiding the current descent.
Veteran miners can test their mettle in the Othermine, a hardcore roguelike experience; start each descent with no upgrades for maximum replayability. Thorium will dive even further into the UnderMine with post-launch updates in the coming months for all platforms with new zones, bosses, and items.
“We put a lot of work into the Switch version of UnderMine, making sure it runs perfectly at 60 frames per second in both handheld and docked mode,” said Derek Johnson, Founder, Thorium Entertainment. “If it’s your first time delving into the mines or if you’re picking it up to play it on the go, UnderMine on the Switch is the perfect way to play.”
UnderMine is available now on Nintendo Switch for $19.99. UnderMine supports English, French, German, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Russian language text.

Playable Sitcom 3 out of 10 Comes to Nintendo Switch on March 3rd!
BOSTON — Feb. 11, 2020 — 3 out of 10, the episodic playable sitcom from Terrible Posture Games about life at the world’s worst game development studio, goes multi-platform with a pivot to Nintendo Switch on Wednesday, March 3.
Over 4.5 million players tuned in for 3 out of 10’s debut season last fall on the Epic Games Store, where new episodes released every week for five weeks. Now, on consoles, experience the entire five-episode season in one package. Dive deeper with a bevy of brand-new special features including the surprise-filled Open Explore Mode, actor profiles, the official soundtrack, a concept art gallery, Big Head Mode, and director commentary.
Game animator Midge Potter shows up for a job interview at Shovelworks Studios, a beleaguered bunch of game dev ne’er-do-wells who have yet to earn a review score higher than 3 out of 10.
Before she can ask, “What’s your work-from-home policy,” Midge finds herself fending off shark-obsessed protestors, shuttling sacrificial interns back to the campus halls from whence they came, and stocking up on foam bullets for an office-wide battle royale. Small wonder the Shovelworks team can’t seem to finish their game. How are you supposed to get any work done with sentient mannequins and a flamethrower-obsessed character artist wreaking daily havoc?
Equal parts video game and animated show, 3 out of 10 tackles the ridiculous business of making games with irreverent reverence. Follow a cast of zany, larger-than-life developers while each episode pays homage to gaming history with clever mini-games. Brave a game dev university, the secret tunnels to Canada, and more with cover-based shooting, side-scrolling brawls, first-person sneaking, brain-teasing puzzles, pinball, and loads of other game styles both fresh and nostalgic.
“Bringing 3 out of 10 to Nintendo Switch was a chance to give new and returning players alike a fresh look at what it’s really like to be a game developer,” said Joe Mirabello, creative director for Terrible Posture Games. “And if that’s not enough of a window into this industry, check out our directors’ commentary for thoughts about making a game about making a game!”
3 out of 10 will launch for Nintendo Switch on Wednesday, March 3 for $9.99.

Grappling Hook Platformer Get-A-Grip Chip Swings March 25th onto Nintendo Switch!
NEW YORK — February 9, 2021 — Get-A-Grip Chip, the charming and satisfyingly challenging grappling hook 2D platformer from Redstart Interactive, escapes ROBOCO Manufacturing via Nintendo Switch on March 25. Face new challenges and earn cosmetic rewards in both the Nintendo Switch and PC versions via a simultaneous update.
Like any other day on the assembly line, Chip and Scan-It Janet happily build Battery Bots. When a factory mishap damages Janet’s circuitry, the discombobulated droid destroys the floor in a flash. Now it’s up to Chip to save the lost Battery Bots and help Janet return to her senses.
Any other wheeled, land-locked robot would find ascending ROBOCO daunting, but not this chap. Chip’s head-mounted magnetic grappling hook makes vertical traversal a breeze. Roll across platforms then launch the hook to acquaint Chip with a fun little thing called the Y-Axis. Get-A-Grip Chip’s satisfying single-button + dual joystick control scheme ensures challenge arises from intelligent, intuitive level design instead of wrestling with that darn controller.
With more than 200 Battery Bots awaiting rescue across 30 lovingly-crafted levels through five diverse worlds, Chip’s got plenty of work to do. Master the hook and fling through the increasingly intense Assembly, Incinerator, Abandoned, Innovation, and Shipping floors. Chuck Chip over chainsaws, launch over lasers, and even escape chases with Scan-It Janet.
Some Bots wait in plain sight while others are hidden in secret rooms off the beaten path. Sure, Chip can beat the game by saving only 120 bots, but why stop there? Get-A-Grip Chip’s Switch debut and accompanying PC update introduces eight new cosmetic skins earned by completing various challenges. Dress up in solid gold or don a vampire outfit, then strut Chip’s stuff and push those skills even further with per-level leaderboards that encourage further mastery.
Navigating treacherous terrain never gets too stressful thanks to an aesthetic inspired by cute retro cartoons. An eclectic score courtesy of Eva Lawitts’ project Stimmerman propels the platforming to new heights with a toe-tapping mix of loungey jazz, hypnotic hip-hop, and even surf rock. And the best part? No head-mounted magnetic grappling hook required to headbang along.
“While Get-A-Grip Chip starts with an assembly line, we hope Nintendo Switch players will feel the love we personally put into making each level,” said Vicky Wei, lead level designer at Redstart Interactive. “Chip’s ‘just one more try’ nature makes it a perfect fit for the platform, and we hope PC players love the new challenges and cosmetic rewards we added.”
Get-A-Grip Chip launches on Nintendo Switch March 25 in English and Japanese for $14.99.
