Just Shapes & Beats is out now on Nintendo Switch!

May 31, 2018 – Five years in the making, Berzerk Studio has finally done it! The game is now available on the NA eShop and Steam on May 31st for $19.99 USD / £15.49 GBP / €16,79 EUR / 22.79$ CAD.

Unfortunately, Just Shapes & Beats will release on the EU and JP eShop a little later, on June 11th for everyone looking for a game to play while watching those long E3 conferences.

Just Shapes & Beats is a chaotic co-op musical bullet-hell based on three simple things: avoid Shapes, move to the kick-ass Beats, and die, repeatedly.

It’s a new spin on the SHMUP genre, adding a layer of cooperation that’s at the core of the game: because everything is better with friends. Play alone or with up to four players, local or online, through the game’s Story Mode or Challenge Runs.

You like music? SO. DO. WE. That’s why we have 35 hand crafted stages with licensed tracks from over 20 chiptune and EDM artists.

Multiplayer Mode

Gather up your squad and play up to 4 player co-op, drop-in drop-out, either all on your couch for a house party, or an online party!

Don’t have/like your friends? Make new friends by playing a few quick online challenge runs. Let us pick your new buds for the next hours; strangers are just friends you haven’t met yet.

Story Mode

The Story mode helps you learn the ropes with more accessible tracks and an optional casual gameplay mode. When you think you’re ready, Challenge Runs is where you get to prove yourself: get judged on your skills by playing through randomly picked tracks.

Need some kind of training montage to get better? Rip your sleeves off and practice the tracks you’re struggling to master in the Playlist.

Party Mode

Let the game play in Party Mode and light up your social gatherings, + you can even have people playing those cool party stages while the music plays if they’re into that, because WE’VE THOUGHT ABOUT EVERYTHING. So yeah, go ahead and throw the most epic party of your life thanks to us–you’re welcome.

Lightwood Games Release Giant Puzzles 2 DLC For Pic-a-Pix Deluxe on Nintendo Switch!

This pack contains 30 new puzzles in the largest sizes: 30×20 and 35×25.

Giant Puzzles 2 was previously available as DLC for the Wii U version of the game, but players who previously enjoyed the game on Nintendo 3DS will not have had chance to play these puzzles before – they were just too large to fit on screen on 3DS!

The pack is priced USD $2.99 or GBP £2.99.

We have seen quite a bit of interest for more of these larger puzzles on Nintendo Switch, so we are hoping to include more Giant packs as we continue to support this game with new monthly DLC.

Ikaruga Takes To The Skies Today On Nintendo Switch!

SANTA ANA, California, May 29, 2018 — Nicalis, Inc. has announced the official release of Ikaruga, available digitally worldwide on Nintendo Switch starting today. This legendary and critically acclaimed vertical shooter from renowned Japanese game developer Treasure offers something special for both nostalgic fans and modern players.

The gameplay in Ikaruga is centered around the ship’s polarity-switching mechanic, which lets players toggle between two energy polarities (black or white) at any time with the touch of a button. Bullets that are the same color as the ship can be absorbed, while the opposite color will do damage. As the amount of absorbed bullets increases, so does the player’s homing laser attack which can deal huge damage to enemy ships.

Ikaruga on Nintendo Switch features both single-player and two-player (local) cooperative modes, as well as global leaderboards that can be accessed online for tracking high scores. The game can be enjoyed in the traditional horizontal mode on Nintendo Switch, or flipped vertically for arcade-style “TATE” mode action.

Ikaruga for Nintendo Switch is rated “E10+” by the ESRB and is available now at the Nintendo eShop for $14.99 MSRP.
