Go to Bullet Hell on April 18th When HELL IS OTHER DEMONS Launches on Nintendo Switch!
San Francisco (April 12th, 2019) – Demons? Heavy armaments? Synthwave? Welcome to hell, which also conveniently doubles as a fast-paced bullet hell platformer! Hell is Other Demons, developed by Cuddle Monster Games and published by Kongregate, officially launches on PC + Mac (via Kartridge), and Nintendo Switch on April 18th, 2019, with a Steam launch following on May 20th. Get ready to put your reflexes and arcade shooting to the test!
The concept here is nice and simple. You’re a demon. You don’t like other demons. Too bad hell is full of them. Grab the closest rocket launcher, sword, or laser gun and fight your way through the hellish masses. All of this is tied together with an instantly-striking aesthetic, mixing chunky pixels with bold color schemes to ensure you always know exactly what you’re dealing with, even if it’s a giant, saw-wielding skeleton bearing down on you.
Hell is Other Demons features an extensive campaign and upgrade system that will test your mettle against hordes of bullet fodder and giant, over-the-top bosses, as well as an endless cycle of demonic invasion in the procedurally generated Arcade Mode. The name of the game here is speed and precision, as you achieve that satisfying, zen-like state of being, air-dodging and weaving through more pixelated bullets than you can shake a floating skull at.
Couple this with a thumping synthwave soundtrack by Rémi Gallego (The Algorithm) and deliciously retro sound design by Magnus Pålsson (VVVVVV), and Hell is Other Demons will transport you into the bowels of hell. But like, with more bleeps and bloops.
Hell is Other Demons launches on April 18, 2019, with availability on PC and Mac (Kartridge), as well as Nintendo Switch. The game will then launch on Steam on May 20, 2019.

After discovering a magical book, a young boy named Drew is whisked away to Whipseeyland, where he transforms into Whipseey, the pink, whip-wielding hero of this bright, colorful world. With the help of Princess Alyssa, Whipseey embarks on a quest to recover magical orbs that possess the power to return him home.

Use swing points to fling Whipseey from one far-flung location to another and bounce off enemies to reach impossible heights.
Inspired by classic 2D platformers, Whipseey and the Lost Atlas is a challenging throwback to a golden age filled with picturesque levels, a relaxing soundtrack, memorable boss fights, and vivid pixel art courtesy of Super Crate Box and Luftrausers artist Roy Nathan De Groot.
Fans of indie 2D platformers have been following Whipseey’s development for the past two years through the game’s active Twitter account, providing valuable feedback, seeing the art redesign, and the renaming of the game from Whip Master after a cloning incident.
“Developing my first commercial release has been a wild journey. We’ve battled through it all, from other teams cloning our work to being forced to retrace our steps after months of backup files became corrupted,” said Daniel Ramirez, creator, Whipseey and the Lost Atlas. “But now we’re nearing the end of the tunnel and I’m excited to finally share Whipseey with the world.”

VA-11 HALL-A Serves Drinks May 2nd on Nintendo Switch!
CARACAS, VENEZUELA – April 8, 2019 – VA-11 HALL-A: Cyberpunk Bartender Action, the booze em’up about waifus, technology, and post-dystopia life which has sold more than 300,000 copies on Steam, will regale bartenders with more drunken stories on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 when publisher Ysbryd Games and developer Sukeban Games start pouring drinks on May 2.
Ysbryd Games and Sukeban Games will partner with Limited Run Games to produce physical editions for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, as well as a special Collector’s Edition boxset for Nintendo Switch. Further details on these physical editions will be announced later this year.
In a cyberpunk future, capitalist forces drive the corrupt government of Glitch City, a place known for both rapid advancements in technology and a disregard for the ethical quandaries of nanomachine experiments on the general public. Enter VA-11 HALL-A: a hole-in-the-wall dive bar providing solace for lonely souls facing the brutality of daily dystopia.
Bartender Jill listens to everyone’s tales while mixing drinks for strangers and regulars alike. Engage in lively conversations with a humanoid robot popstar, the editor-in-chief of a prominent magazine, a boy-crazy hacker and others to unveil the society of Glitch City as seen through the eyes of its citizens. Jill pours libations, but her patrons pour out their souls.
VA-11 HALL-A puts a shaken-not-stirred spin on point-and-click games with mixology: characters react differently depending on the drinks served and how much alcohol they’ve had. Learn more about Glitch City through the lens of a resident doing her best to maintain a somewhat ordinary life in an extraordinary metropolis.
Enhance the atmosphere of this futuristic experience by curating different electronic playlists on the jukebox to listen throughout the night. Infectious synthpop, ambient electronic music and a dark pixelated anime art style frame the gloomy but laid back experience.
“We wanted players to feel a sense of humanity in VA-11 HALL-A,” said Christopher “Kiririn51” Ortiz, co-founder, Sukeban Games. “Oftentimes we get so stuck staring at screens that we forget what it means to be human. Jill gets to hear all sorts of stories every night, from crazy to serious, and every single one of them is equally important to each teller. This influences the direction players take with the drinks they serve, making it a story-driven experience that’s personal to the player.”
VA-11 HALL-A will be available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 for the regular price of $14.99 USD and is currently available on Steam and PS Vita. It will support English and Japanese at launch with other localizations to be added to all versions later.

Enter the pages of an interactive tech-noir graphic novel with Liberated, coming to Switch in 2019!
Warsaw, Poland – April 8th, 2019 – Independent developer Atomic Wolf, in collaboration with L.inc and publisher Walkabout Games today announced its playable tech-noir graphic novel, Liberated, with a brand new trailer. Liberated launches later this year on PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Leap into the frame of a graphic novel, where classic motion comic storytelling transitions into fully playable action sections in a story about technological surveillance squeezing society’s freedom away. Liberated was honoured as a finalist at the 2019 SXSW Gaming Pitch Competition.
Players will experience a story about a world where government authorities use advanced technology to manipulate the population. Civil rights are a thing of the past, with the government engaging in complete surveillance of every citizen in the world. Social media activity, online payments, and GPS location tracking from mobile devices are just some of the ways every single person is being monitored. In this world, there are insurgents resisting this oppression, fighting for their freedom, while government agents try to maintain order and control. In Liberated, players will experience both sides of this conflict, with every choice they make changing the course of the story.
Told over the course of four chapters, with each issue focusing on a different character, Liberated is an interactive graphic novel that combines the experience of a motion comic with a videogame. Liberated transitions seamlessly from choice-based branching story sequences to fully playable action sequences as the action moves from panel to panel. By combining a motion comic with 2.5D platforming, stealth mechanics, and shootouts, and quick-time events, Liberated brings the story to life like nothing else.
“The way technology is being used to aid government control has changed drastically in the 21st century and we wanted to explore the dangers of where it’s seemingly headed,” said Marek Czerniak, Creative Director at Atomic Wolf. “Liberated explores this in a nuanced, pragmatic way, with a stylish blend of motion comics and gameplay that keeps things brisk, stylish, and on the edge of your seat!”
“When we first saw what Liberated was up to we were instantly hooked!” said Robert Purzycki, co-founder of Walkabout. “It’s exploring real issues that we grapple with every day as we wrestle with both the advantages and perils of technology, social media, and the stranglehold corporations have over us. We think it’s one of the most thought-provoking games on the horizon and can’t wait to hear players discuss it!”

Out There: Ω The Alliance Lands April 9th on Nintendo Switch!
We love space and science fiction. Who doesn’t want to boldly go where no one has gone before in a galaxy far, far away? Well, maybe not if your space trip doesn’t go as planned and you wake up from cryogenic sleep in an unknown location. That’s what happens to the protagonist of Out There: Ω The Alliance.
Out There is created by French developer Mi-Clos Studio with the talented core team that consists of creative director Michael Peiffert and game designer Fibre Tigre. Mixing Peiffert’s visual interpretation of space with Fibre Tigre’s narrative vision, they shaped the foundation of the dark space strategy adventure. Complementing the pulp comic style graphics and providing a melancholic atmosphere is the eerie score.
Out There: Ω The Alliance is scheduled for release April 9, 2019 on the Nintendo eShop, and on April 11, 2019 on the Humble Store in North America. There will also be a free demo to download on the Nintendo eShop shortly after launch.
