Krakow, Poland–August 12th, 2020. All in! Games has announced that Metamorphosis is now available on PC and consoles. The narrative adventure inspired by Kafka’s curious imagination is now available on PC (Steam and GOG), Nintendo Switch, Xbox One (all with a 10% discount until August 19), and on PlayStation 4.

Metamorphosis’ unique point of view, resulting from the player being the size of a bug required a new approach to level-building and player guidance, as well as locomotion. As the Ovid Team explains:

“We absolutely wanted to emphasise the feeling of being a bug. A lot of things were tried unsuccessfully. We finally managed to set the scale and guidance in a way that expressed the ‘buggy’ feeling of the movement. We are very proud of the locomotion we ended up with. But what we are most proud of is the consistency of the art, gameplay, and story that we maintained. Such a unique combination of these elements is found nowhere else.”

Metamorphosis lets players experience:

1991 — it seems like any other sweltering July in the sleepy suburbs of Fairweather Valley…until a cursed VHS unleashes untold horrors upon the neighborhood, turns the residents evil, and generally makes April & Joey’s summer a total bummer. Our heroes must exorcise their neighbors from hell, fight their way back to the haunted High School and rewind their summer to save the world!

Two heads are better than dead. Team up in local co-op, then pump, refill, and spill ‘em all with Splasha squirt guns, loaded with an infinite supply of holy water. Pump past the limit with Overpump and unleash holy hydro hell. Swap & pop Nozzles to drench demons with different shots, effects, and Overblasts – then upgrade the Splasha’s stats with Nitro Splashtanks found throughout the ‘burbs of Fairweather.

Getting lost finding possessed citizens in procedurally-generated levels? Not with the radical Radar Radio called the RadWatch. Level it up by slaying monsters to boost its range and ability to find survivors. Depending on your choices, some citizens will Tune-Out! – and transform to climactic combat challenges where one of three choices must be made: DAMN, DELIVER, or DIE. Be kind and rewind by draining their recharging stamina with a Holy Hi-Fi arsenal to DELIVER them from evil, or blast through with Lethal Lo-Fi weaponry to let them stay DAMNED.

Don’t worry about death – with infinite timelines, another April & Joey are ready to DAMN! or DELIVER all over again. This time, smash through and loot the ‘hood. Knock over mailboxes, trashcans, and more to find household weapons that exploit monster weaknesses. Freeze Zombos, zap Zaplings and vaporize Vampunks with Garlic Pizza. Demons Ate My Neighbors!’ Kickstarter opens on Tuesday, September 1. Tuned-Out Games hopes to raise $175,000 to add more levels, monsters, and other terrors. Stretch goals include Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 ports, online co-op, new characters, new weapons, and even secret funky alien bosses that might rhyme with GlowJam & Pearl. Pledges for a digital copy of the game start at $15 and go all the way up to $7,500 for anyone who wants to help design a boss.

Manual Samuel developer Perfectly Paranormal’s upcoming limb defiling, body desecrating puzzle-platformer adventure – Helheim Hassle has got a free demo available to download today on PC via Steam and the Nintendo Switch on the eShop. If you’ve been itching to try out the latest title from the minds of Manual Samuel, then now is the time! The full game will be released on Xbox One, PC, and Nintendo Switch on August 18th. A PlayStation 4 version is also coming a little later in 2020.

Helheim Hassle is a comedic yet macabre narrative adventure game, from the same universe as their previous hit Manual Samuel, that is as much about friendship as it is about body parts. You play as Bjørn, a pacifist Viking who hates the idea of dying and going to Valhalla (who then ends up dying and getting taken to Valhalla) as he seeks to negotiate his way out while helping the mysterious Pesto on a quest to retrieve a certain magical item… In return, Pesto will try to grant Bjørn a permanent residence in Helheim – what a hassle!

Game Set Up

Ys Origin presents a game through an emotional and exciting story, which takes place 700 years before the two first games of the series – Ys I & Ys II.

A demon invasion threatens the land and the two goddesses of Ys vanished. The player sets off with a search party to follow the tracks of the goddesses. Fans of the series may expect to play as the well-known protagonist of the Ys Series, Adol Christin, but this time the player has the choice to start the journey as the apprentice knight Yunica Tovah or the sorcerer Hugo Fact. Ys Origin presents different playable characters with different skills. Yunica is the bright and optimistic girl focusing on physical strength, whilst Hugo is a calm, analytical young man with strong magic powers.
