Dead Cells Catapults August 7th Onto Nintendo Switch; Includes 20% Off Pre-Order Discount!

BORDEAUX, France (July 10, 2018) — Dead Cells – the illegitimate child of the modern roguelite and an old-school metroidvania game – fully launches digitally on PC, Mac, Linux, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on August 7, 2018 for 24.99$/€. To celebrate this announcement, Motion Twin has released a hot new trailer.

The console version of Dead Cells includes a special 20% off pre-order discount on Dead Cells for 19.99$/€ available now (Nintendo of America pre-order goes live on July 18). There will be no launch discount, so this will be the only chance for console players to save some money before launch. As previously announced, physical versions of Dead Cells are also available to pre-order from Signature Edition Games for PC, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Bringing the best of roguelite replayability and metroidvania-style permanent upgrades, Dead Cells aims to bring you permadeath, without the frustration of starting again. With almost 1 million copies sold on PC, you can be sure you’ll find something for you while you explore the interconnect levels, upgrade your weapons, take on formidable enemies and learn to master the game.

The core of the roguelite is player skill and personal progression, those unbeatable enemies from the first level? Stick with it and they’ll be nothing but a footnote in an exhilarating fight through to the final boss.

At launch, Dead Cells will include:

  • 13 Levels – Each one with its own atmosphere, foes and secrets to discover.
  • 4 Bosses – Made by the most sadistic of the devs, raised on the salt of the testers.
  • 80 or so weapons and skills – Spears, swords, bows, freeze blast, etc.
  • 4 special powers, unlocking new areas and paths (metroidvania gear lock items).
  • 1 Daily Run Mode Complete with leaderboards for lording it over your mates (PC version only).

Dead Cells is currently available in Early Access on Steam and GOG.com for $24.99 USD. The game will fully launch on August 7, 2018 for PC, Mac, Linux, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch for the same price. Pre-orders available now with a 20% discount on consoles.

20XX Dives onto Nintendo Switch Today!

BOSTON, MA – July 10, 2018 – 20XX, the roguelike action platformer from Batterystaple Games and Fire Hose Games, is now available on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, followed by Xbox One tomorrow.

Inspired by the beloved Mega Man series, 20XX builds upon Capcom’s classic formula by seamlessly integrating local and online co-op as well as contemporary roguelike elements into a retro design. This creates an addictive play experience focused on skill growth. Gone are the days of simple memorization and trial and error as 20XX’s procedurally-built stages demand a high level of situational awareness and skill with a controller.

After selling more than 100,000 units on Steam where it was named one of Valve’s Top Early Access Graduates of 2017, 20XX comes to consoles with its Hawk DLC Pack included. This third playable character fights with her own distinct whip attack. Rounding out the roster and making his debut shortly after the console launch via a free update is the heavily armed Draco, who uses a single power while equipping up to eight weapons.

Every session plays out differently than the last. Daily ranked challenges, multiple difficulty settings, and a nostalgia-laden, chiptune-inspired soundtrack bring the best of new and retro games. Leap, dive, and blast either solo or with friends through a near-limitless amount of always-exhilarating content.

“20XX is a celebration of classic action-platforming remixed with modern roguelike design,” said Chris King, founder, Batterystaple Games. “After a wonderful reception on PC, we’re so excited that console players can finally get their hands on the game.”

20XX supports English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese language options.

20XX is available for download for $17.99 USD in the Nintendo eShop, Official PlayStation Store, and will be the same price on the Microsoft Store tomorrow.

Slam Land Dunks August 7th on Nintendo Switch!

ROCHESTER, NY – July 10, 2018 – Slam Land, the surreal competitive party game from Bread Machine Games where brawling and balling meet in a weird and wacky pastime, dunks its way onto Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Mac on August 7, 2018.

Easy to pick up but with depth to match, Slam Land is a fast-paced, chaotic experience where a bizarre blue giant enlists a cast of comical competitors to dunk one another into hoops for his amusement. So, (literally) grab up to four friends and face off in local multiplayer matches where opponents must grapple, lunging at and dodging away from each other as they vie to seize and shoot their adversaries into a variety of bizarre goals ranging from tree hollows to gaping maws.

Alongside these “Slam” matches, where players race against the clock to score the most points or outlast each other in stock contests, Slam Land sports a variety of additional game types to ensure things always stay fresh. These include the hot potato-like “Peanut Mode,” where scores become more valuable the longer players hold on to the titular peanut. Slam Land also features a distinctive take on the classic basketball activity “H.O.R.S.E.,” where lettered NPCs spawn and players shoot them to fill out the word. And then there’s the wildest mode of all, “Trash,” which sees garbage rain from the sky that can be stacked into massive piles and dunked.

Propelled by a percussive, energetic soundtrack and a playful hand-drawn cartoon art style, Slam Land is a joyful and energetic experience that will have friends laughing and screaming no matter which whimsical game type they find themselves clashing in.

“Slam Land is an intense party game where friends can get together and drunk each other in our weird mashup of basketball and fighting game,” says Keith McCullough, creative director, Bread Machine Games. “We look forward to introducing the world to this cheeky, surreal world and awesome group of game modes when we’re ready to release this July.”

Slam Land will retail for $7.99 / €7.99 via the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Store, and Steam.
