SAN FRANCISCO – July 31, 2018 – 2064: Read Only Memories Integral, the cyberpunk narrative adventure from MidBoss with more than 200,000 copies sold across PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, will explore Nintendo Switch on August 14, 2018. It is available for pre-orders today with a 10% discount until launch.

Other content in this definitive edition of Read Only Memories includes video clips from the cutting room floor, a jukebox with never-before-heard tracks, as well as all of the voice acting, other polish and content added to the game since its initial launch.

Follow Turing, who claims to be the world’s first fully sapient ROM (Relationship and Organizational Manager) on a mysterious investigation after the disappearance of their creator. Turing is as witty as they are cute and depending on player choices can become a close companion while helping solve point-and-click puzzles and problem-solving minigames.

The city of Neo San-Francisco transposes modern day social issues into a hopeful cyberpunk future by asking questions about identity, individuality and what it is to be human. With a diverse cast of characters, each fully voiced by talents including industry legends Melissa Hutchison (The Walking Dead), Adam Harrington (Middle Earth: Shadow of War, The Wolf Among Us) and more, 2064: Read Only Memories Integral puts the focus on meaningful interactions and choices while exploring topics such as advanced AI, cybernetic enhancements and genetic experimentation.

“The core of Read Only Memories’ beloved story complete with positive representation of marginalized people is unchanged, but it’s been enhanced and expanded over the years.” said Cade Peterson, interim CEO, Midboss. “With the definitive edition for Nintendo Switch, players returning to the futuristic world of Neo San-Francisco can find just as many things to be excited about as people visiting for the first time.”

Colorful Co-Op Nintendo Switch Platformer Gelly Break Releases New Trailer!

ByteRockers’ Games and publisher Wild River are pleased to release a new trailer for Gelly Break, their colorful co-op platformer for Nintendo Switch.

Evil Blob plans to take over the planet Gelly, and it’s up to two cute little Gellies – one orange, and one green – to stop him. Couch co-op means that players can master the levels and fight against crowds of enemies together. Solo players take control of both Gellies at any time as one unit.

Colored obstacles give Gellies trouble on their way to Evil Blob. Only Gellies of the same color can interact with these objects and platforms. Gellies can also fuse to access additional abilities, or ride piggyback on one another so they can circumvent colored objects they don’t match with. Tricky passages and enormous bosses require clever teamwork, but adaptable difficulty means people of all ages can enjoy Gelly Break.

“Gelly Break aims to bring friends and family closer again, so they can play together instead of alone,” says Maik Reichelt from ByteRockers’. But don’t worry: Gelly Break is a fun platforming experience for all ages, whether playing alone or with friends.

Satirical Point-and-Click Adventure Irony Curtain to Lift the Veil on Satire, Totalitarianism in 2019!

KATOWICE, POLAND — JULY 25, 2018 — Irony Curtain, the hilarious satirical point and click adventure set in a totalitarian communist country, tears down walls and arrives on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC when Artifex Mundi releases their forthcoming title in 2019.

“Our glorious country of Matryoshka wishes to extend an invitation to the West, and allow them to witness the glory of communism first-hand. Visitors shall be the first outsiders to bask in the light of The Leader, who is the embodiment of all that is good and not the “demon, blood-drunk butcher, or godless dictator” non-believers would have you fear.

We welcome them to explore our beautiful country and political realm by solving puzzles and minigames to understand the depth of corruption surrounding the magnanimity of our fearless leader. This sponsored visit includes a meeting with our Minister of PropagandaCommunication, Vlad. The Minister’s job is completely unnecessary, but our country has zero tolerance for unemployment because it shows the West that we are stronger than them.

While our guests aren’t busy submitting themselves to unnecessary strip-searches, they will try to finagle their way through tricky scenarios using creative combinations of items. Our gorgeous, colorful hand-drawn country ensures that foreign eyes will always bask in the glory of our people and natural splendor. It is our hope that these beautiful images draw their eyes away from our impoverished wealthy citizens so they do not try to steal our secrets.”

Irony Curtain will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC 2019.

Dark Hand-Drawn 2D Action RPG Salt and Sanctuary Haunts Nintendo Switch on August 2nd!

SEATTLE, Wash. – JULY 25, 2018 – Salt and Sanctuary, Ska Studios’ brutal hand-drawn 2D Soulslike platformer with over 800,000 downloads, comes to Nintendo Switch August 2 with the help of porting specialist BlitWorks.

While sailing across a stormy sea to transport a princess and strike a truce between rival kingdoms, a calamitous encounter with a sinister abomination wrecks the player’s ship. Upon drifting onto the shore, the journey to broker peace dissolves into a struggle for survival on a treacherous island rife with undead.

Whether braving this alone or with a friend via local co-op, the customizable hero, known as the Saltborn, can only persevere by navigating this grim, forgotten bastion. Pressing on and cleaving through anyone or anything that rears its malformed head is the only way forward. Hidden platforming abilities including air-dashing and wall-jumping help the Saltborn find and eradicate more than twenty horrifying bosses all drawn in Ska Studios’ stylized signature art style.

Discovering the truth behind this cursed land necessitates both a keen eye and a bloodlust, but all manner of implements of death await adventurers. All character builds are worthy: a whip-wielding, crossbow-brandishing bandit and sorcerer wreathed in Fire and Sky magic have equal chances of survival. Sixteen weapon types and more than fifty sets of armor that both strengthen the Saltborn and visibly change their appearance can be upgraded with the right equipment. A massive skill tree provides further options for progression.

Battles play out in a tough-but-fair fashion. Every swing of the sword drains stamina, so calculated attacks often win out over desperate flails. Magic wielders have their own tribulations: all of the games’ spells align with either Fire or Sky elements and casting too much of one causes an imbalance that damages the Saltborn. Holy Prayers don’t have an element but offer defensive boosts. Each harrowing skirmish rewards patience.

Multiple endings and New Game+ provide ample reasons to play again. While playing as a different character build alone changes the gameplay entirely, optional challenge runs offer distinct new trials for players still hungering for battle after finishing the story. Modes like permadeath, no blocking, and no rolling alter playstyles and keep Salt and Sanctuary fresh long after the credits roll.

“The two of us wanted to create a Soulslike game that we wanted to play, and finding that so many others who wanted it too warmed our dark little hearts,” said Michelle and James Silva, co-creators at Ska Studios. “Bringing Salt and Sanctuary to the Nintendo Switch means more people who like dismal, satisfying games can play our very dismal, satisfying game.”

Salt and Sanctuary will be available digitally for $17.99 USD for Nintendo Switch on the Nintendo eShop in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Traditional and Simplified Chinese, Japanese, and Korean. Ska Studios is also excited to announce that Salt and Sanctuary: Drowned Tome Edition for Nintendo Switch will be coming to a retail store near you this holiday. More details will be announced soon.
