Pic-a-Pix Pieces Out Today For Nintendo Switch!

Staffordshire, UK – Lightwood Games are kicking off 2019 with the release of Pic-a-Pix Pieces, their latest picture puzzle game for Nintendo Switch, available from January 3rd on the Nintendo eShop.

Pic-a-Pix is a picture logic game, sometimes known as Picross, Nonogram or Hanjie, where whimsical pixel-art pictures are created by solving puzzles.

In Pic-a-Pix Pieces, large pictures have been split into a number of smaller pieces. Each piece is a puzzle grid, and by solving them all you’ll form a mosaic that reveals a spectacular final image.

Lightwood Games previously released Pic-a-Pix Deluxe on Nintendo Switch, and this game includes all the key features from the previous title, including the most recent refinements, such as touch-screen controls, co-operative play for up to 4 players and a flexible colourblind mode.

As with Lightwood’s previous titles, puzzles are designed by Conceptis, the world’s leading supplier of logic puzzles. The puzzles in Pic-a-Pix Pieces are an exciting new Pic-a-Pix variant, created exclusively for this game.

Pic-a-Pix Pieces supports English, French, German and Spanish.

A free demo was released in December, featuring two sample Christmas-themed images. This will be removed from the eShop next week to make way for a new demo.

Lightwood Games will continue to support both Pic-a-Pix Pieces and Pic-a-Pix Deluxe on Nintendo Switch, with new monthly DLC puzzle packs throughout 2019.

In fact, January will also see the release of Classic Puzzles 13 and Giant Puzzles 7 for Pic-a-Pix Deluxe, bringing the total number of puzzles available in that game to more than 2,500!

Pic-a-Pix Pieces will also be available on PlayStation 4 and PS Vita from January 8th.

TINY METAL Multiplayer Campaigns to Nintendo Switch!

TOKYO – Dec. 20, 2018 – TINY METAL, the turn-based strategy game of intrigue with a distinct Japanese flavor from Sony publishing label UNTIES and developer AREA35, has marched its online multiplayer mode into battle on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Steam in a free update. Troops can join the fray at 50% off on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in various winter sales taking place between today and Jan. 18, as well as 60% off on Steam in its holiday sale.

Choose from 11 maps and take on friends via the internet in competitive multiplayer. Also debuting in this update is ACT V, an extension to the story campaign introducing 6 new missions.

Deploy 15 unit types, from basic Riflemen to Gunships and the advanced tanks known as Metals, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. Level up hero units, gaining experience they can carry forward into the next battle. Take advantage of terrain bonuses to catch the enemy off guard, surrounding them for maximum damage. A New Game+ mode challenges TINY METAL’s most grizzled veterans.

Tensions are high 50 years after the Great World War. The landscape was devastated in the conflict, and Artemesia’s relative peace has been shattered by the assassination of its king. Follow Lieutenant Nathan Gries as he leads his troops in a 20-hour long campaign fraught with political intrigue and set to a stirring soundtrack from composer Tomoki Miyoshi (SOULCALIBER V, I Am Setsuna, Steins;Gate), while he and his unit question what is worth fighting for.

“TINY METAL already delivers a great single player experience with deep, nostalgia-inducing gameplay reminiscent of Advance Wars,” said Hiroaki Yura, AREA35. “Now we’re taking it a step further, enhancing what’s already there while opening it up to the new opportunities for fun and strategy that can only come from playing against another human being.”

TINY METAL is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Steam for a regular price $24.99 USD and supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Simplified and Traditional Chinese text localization, with full audio and text available in Japanese. It will be on sale for 50% off on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in North America from today – Jan. 8, PlayStation 4 in Europe from Dec. 21 – Jan. 18, Nintendo Switch in Europe from Jan. 7 – Jan. 18, and 60% off on Steam during this year’s winter sale.
