Classic Novel Adaptation Storm Boy Lands Nov 20th on Nintendo Switch!

SYDNEY, NSW – Oct. 23, 2018 – Storm Boy: The Game, an adaptation of the novella exploring the friendship between a child and his pet pelican, soars to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows PC, Mac, iOS, and Android on Nov. 20, 2018.

Based on Colin Thiele’s beloved 1964 children’s book, Storm Boy: The Game is an interactive telling that allows players to experience this classic story in a new medium, taking control of the eponymous protagonist and his amiable pelican companion, Mr. Percival, as the pair explores the lush natural beauty of the Coorong lagoon and South Australia’s majestic coastline.

“Our team is proud to translate Storm Boy into the world of games and provide players with a new way to enjoy this heartfelt story, whether they grew up with it or are experiencing it for the first time,” said Ellen Jurik, Storm Boy: The Game’s director, Blowfish Studios. “We can’t wait for everyone to see what we’ve done and are happy to announce our Nov. 20 release date.”

3D Realms and 1C Entertainment Bring Ion Maiden to Consoles in Q2 2019!

DALLAS, TX – October 23, 2018 – 3D Realms, the developer of classic first-person shooters including Duke Nukem and Shadow Warrior, will collaborate with global PC and console publisher 1C Entertainment to co-publish Ion Maiden, which is developed by Voidpoint, to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in Q2 2019, in addition to the previously announced Steam release. Both companies will also collaborate on a new unannounced FPS based on the original Quake engine coming to all the same platforms as Ion Maiden.

Ion Maiden’s exclusive multi-hour preview campaign is available on Steam Early Access for $19.99 in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish and Russian. The retro first-person shooter developed in the Build engine, which powered Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, and Shadow Warrior, will simultaneously release on all platforms Q2 2019 in both digital and physical formats. In this prequel to 2016’s Bombshell, Shelly has to take down transhumanist mastermind Dr. Jadus Heskel.

While Ion Maiden utilizes a classic engine, Early Access players have still found the modern staples they’ve come to expect, including headshots, more physics and interactivity, widescreen support, controller support and auto-saves. 3D Realms and 1C Entertainment are taking the best of both worlds and cooking it all into a bloody stew.

1C Entertainment is responsible for the popular RTS series Men of War, the fantasy tactical role-playing games King’s Bounty, and World War II flight simulator series IL-2 Sturmovik. Collaborating with 3D Realms promises to bring both teams’ creative powers together and deliver the high-quality content gamers know both companies for.

“Presenting games like Ion Maiden to all of 3D Realms’ fans is our number one priority,” said Mike Nielsen, CEO of 3D Realms. “Partnering with 1C Entertainment means we can make our dedicated community happier by bringing Shelly to consoles.”

“I was always a fan of the old-school classic FPS titles Duke Nukem 3D, Blood, Max Payne and Shadow Warrior, so I am super thrilled to partner with a legendary studio such as 3D Realms,” said Nikolay Baryshnikov, CEO of 1C Entertainment. “As a global publisher, our goal is to bring top-quality titles to all the gamers around the world, and our cooperation with 3D Realms is a great addition to our portfolio. For me personally, it’s a kid’s dream come true.”

7 Billion Humans – Switch Game Footage!

Two Tribes Brings Long-lost Treasure “Swap This!” to Nintendo Switch!

Once thought lost in the Two Tribes treasure chest, Swap This! is here to make matching puzzle games exciting again! It’s a game in which gaming skills like fast reflexes and tactical thinking actually count for something. Players still match colors, but once they get the hang of it they’ll be juggling multiple chain reactions in real time while strategically deploying power-ups to beat giant enemy fish!

It’s fresh, it’s fast, it’s deep – Meet Swap This!, the arcade-style puzzle experience!

A new game from Two Tribes?
More than 7 years ago, we decided we wanted to make a puzzle game that really challenged gamers’ skills. We felt this was lacking from the puzzle genre, and we still do.

Swap This! never got a proper release and lingered in the Two Tribes treasure chest, deemed lost. With the arrival of the Nintendo Switch we decided to bring it to the surface, polish it up and make it available to puzzle players worldwide.

Why Switch and not another console?
Because Swap This! plays best on a touch screen. ‘Arcade-style’ is the perfect description: you need skill to play, it’s lightning fast, and you even have to beat giant enemy fish!

What’s different from your usual sugar-coated matching puzzle?
In Swap This! you can swap colored ice cubes anywhere on screen, whenever you want, in real time. So getting good really comes down to dexterity and tactics. You’ll soon find yourself building up screen-clearing combos!

Additionally, the game includes 5 super-charged power-ups and 4 distinct play modes. There’s a ton of stuff to keep you busy!

The best part? Swap This! for Nintendo Switch is only 1.19 $/€. It’s currently available for pre-order!

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption Slashes Today onto Nintendo Switch!

HONG KONG – Oct. 18, 2018 – Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption, the boss battler from publisher Another Indie and the senior AAA veterans at developer Dark Star Game Studios, is available for purchase now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in addition to the recently launched Discord store. Sinner is also available via Xbox Game Pass starting today, and PlayStation 4 fans can redeem themselves at a 10% discount for a limited time.

Join Adam on a journey through a macabre world set to a cinematic and haunting soundtrack to confront his sins in the form of monstrous entities from his past. Each of these bosses holds a powerful grudge and redemption comes at the cost of Adam’s strength, health and weapons as he must sacrifice some of his vitality or equipment in order to enter each boss’ arena.

Besting the specters of his former life requires as much strategy as it does skill, and mastering the game is no easy feat. The bosses can be confronted in any order, but with each fight the challenge grows and only the most adept will vanquish the manifestations of the seven deadly sins and open the way to the final boss.

A New Game+ mode adds replayability through unlockable equipment and a variety of game modes. Take on foes with only no weapon, dealing less damage and giving up the ability to parry, or wail on them with twin hammers to see all the endings more quickly. Up the ante in Nightmare Mode, a boss rush featuring all the monstrosities in rapid succession for the ultimate test of skill.

“Our aim with Sinner was to provide a blend of difficulty and fairness that will satisfy hardcore gamers whether they have time to play for long sessions or only in smaller chunks,” says Iain Garner, director of developer relations, Another Indie. “The gameplay additions in New Game+ give the game vast replayability through greater choices so people can customize the challenge to be exactly as hard as they want.”

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is now available for $18.99 in English, Spanish, German, French, Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Russian via Discord.

Winter is Coming in Norse Action-Adventure Fimbul on Switch in Early 2019!

MUNICH/COPENHAGEN – 18 October 2018 – Fimbul, the Norse Comic-Action-Adventure from Publisher EuroVideo and developer Zaxis Games, releases on PlayStation 4 and PC November 29, with a Switch release planned for early 2019.

The Fimbulwinter – a season shrouded in legend, said to be the harbinger of the coming Ragnarök – has engulfed the high north. An old berserker named Kveldulver dies during an assault on his village, but destiny isn’t finished with him. Revived by the Norns, the sisters of fate, Kveldulver is chosen by the gods to fight the Jotun, a race of trolls, to prevent Ragnarök and the destruction of the world.

Fimbul’s comic book style provides a gorgeous backdrop for players as they forge their own story. The “Lifestring” feature empowers Kveldulver, allowing him to return to earlier points in the story and walk different fated paths. During his adventure, he’ll meet many characters, some of whom are like-minded and willing to support him on his journey. Hidden areas, encounters, and stories provide multiple incentives to see all possible outcomes.

Fimbul’s combat is simple to learn but hard to master. To prevail against enemy vikings, wolfs, monsters, and the giant Jotun, the protagonist has to collect special skills, items, and a variety of weapons.
