Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption Unleashing New Content for Nintendo Switch!

HONG KONG – Feb. 19 2019 – Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption, the boss battler from publisher Another Indie and the AAA veterans at developer Dark Star Game Studios, brings new challenges and content to the arena today on Discord and Steam alongside its Steam launch. Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will receive the free content update before the end of this month.

Adam’s quest for redemption continues with the addition of a new non sequitur boss to defeat – a giant armored chicken. Armed with a deadly peck and minion-spawning eggs, Cowardly Modic pits Adam against his fowl-est challenger yet. Two new weapon sets, twin swords and a sword and shield combo, add fresh options to an already powerful arsenal, each harnessing the power of conquered bosses.

In addition to a new boss and weapons, three more challenges await in New Game+. The Trial of Speed grants Adam swiftness in exchange for losing invulnerability during dodge rolls, while the Trial of Consequence restricts Adam to a single life and Trial of the Sinner fuses both into the ultimate test of skill.

“We couldn’t bring Sinner to Steam without a bit of fanfare, which is why we’ve released our biggest update across all platforms,” says Iain Garner, director of developer relations, Another Indie. “The new boss is unlike anything players have seen before, and the rest of the added content expands the difficulty so that even the most battle-hardened warriors will have something to look forward to.”

Embark on a journey through a macabre world and take on specters of past misdeeds, each based on one of the seven deadly sins. Each boss demands a sacrifice, weakening Adam and making each fight harder than the last. With an array of weapons at his disposal and endless paths through to the final boss, Adam’s journey can be customized to fit any playstyle.

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Steam and Discord for $18.99 in English, Spanish, German, French, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Russian.

The haunting action RPG’s arsenal of bosses will expand with the addition of Cowardly Modic, the fowl-est boss yet, a giant deadly armored chicken. Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption Slashes Today onto Nintendo Switch!

HONG KONG – Oct. 18, 2018 – Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption, the boss battler from publisher Another Indie and the senior AAA veterans at developer Dark Star Game Studios, is available for purchase now on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in addition to the recently launched Discord store. Sinner is also available via Xbox Game Pass starting today, and PlayStation 4 fans can redeem themselves at a 10% discount for a limited time.

Join Adam on a journey through a macabre world set to a cinematic and haunting soundtrack to confront his sins in the form of monstrous entities from his past. Each of these bosses holds a powerful grudge and redemption comes at the cost of Adam’s strength, health and weapons as he must sacrifice some of his vitality or equipment in order to enter each boss’ arena.

Besting the specters of his former life requires as much strategy as it does skill, and mastering the game is no easy feat. The bosses can be confronted in any order, but with each fight the challenge grows and only the most adept will vanquish the manifestations of the seven deadly sins and open the way to the final boss.

A New Game+ mode adds replayability through unlockable equipment and a variety of game modes. Take on foes with only no weapon, dealing less damage and giving up the ability to parry, or wail on them with twin hammers to see all the endings more quickly. Up the ante in Nightmare Mode, a boss rush featuring all the monstrosities in rapid succession for the ultimate test of skill.

“Our aim with Sinner was to provide a blend of difficulty and fairness that will satisfy hardcore gamers whether they have time to play for long sessions or only in smaller chunks,” says Iain Garner, director of developer relations, Another Indie. “The gameplay additions in New Game+ give the game vast replayability through greater choices so people can customize the challenge to be exactly as hard as they want.”

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption is now available for $18.99 in English, Spanish, German, French, Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Russian via Discord.

Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption Releases Oct 18th on Nintendo Switch!

HONG KONG – Sept. 27, 2018 – Sinner: Sacrifice for Redemption, the boss battler from publisher Another Indie and the senior AAA veterans at developer Dark Star Game Studios, will come to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Oct. 18. Discord users will also brave its dangers when Sinner debuts on Windows and Mac as a First on Discord launch title later this year, with a Steam release to follow.

Created by a team including a former Ubisoft art director, Konami senior programmer and a Blizzard technical artist, Sinner follows Adam, a soldier with a dark past. Adam embarks on a journey for absolution, facing off against monstrous beasts to reconcile his heinous crimes. Based on the seven deadly sins, these savage specters will reveal their personal connections with Adam as he advances his quest for atonement to a hauntingly beautiful soundtrack.

Before dueling each monstrosity, Adam must sacrifice a part of himself and accept a permanent debuff. Battles will become increasingly difficult with each sacrifice as Adam’s vitality is reduced, his arsenal breaks down and his armor withers away. Alternate gear can be unlocked in New Game+ mode, lending replayability to Adam’s journey for redemption.

“Sinner provides the intense action players crave in hardcore games through intimate battles that are accessible in any order,” says Iain Garner, director of developer relations, Another Indie. “By giving players the freedom to choose their path through its devilish challenges, Sinner offers player agency without sacrificing a compelling story.”
