Heartwarming Adventure Game My Brother Rabbit Ignites Imaginations In Q3 2018!

KATOWICE, POLAND – June 27, 2018 – My Brother Rabbit, the heartwarming adventure game from Artifex Mundi, invites players on an emotional trip into the dreamlands of imagination in Fall 2018.

A picture-perfect, loving family discovers that their daughter has fallen ill. While her parents set out to get her the treatment she needs, her determined older brother turns to the power of imagination to help both of them cope. While the outside world offers tragedy, these pure children envision a fantastic, surreal world that provides the innocent fun they deserve.

In this magnificent land of make-believe, a cute little rabbit living underground wants to nurse his ill friend, a flower, back to health however he can. To do so, he must use his wits to decipher puzzles inspired by classic point and clicks, uncover hidden objects, and play minigames to continue his adventure. Calmly and casually collect hidden butterflies, balloons, and other items before solving intriguing enigmas.

Devoted to this unusual journey, the innocent children continue to conjure up this increasingly curious land, incorporating components of the bleak real realm. The gorgeously odd painted vistas introduce off-putting tones the closer Toy Rabbit gets to helping the Flower. Visions of reality in the hospital creep through, but the children’s realm of escapism is always inviting. As children are wont to do, their creative minds find more and more reasons to be hopeful despite the adversity they face.

Renowned indie composer Arkadiusz Reikowski of Layers of Fear and Seven: The Days Long Gone fame has penned a score that soars around this strange scene. The wondrous sights and sounds make gorgeous, hand-painted My Brother Rabbit’s dream logic come together and invites players to rekindle the flames of their imagination.

“My Brother Rabbit’s spiritual journey recalls the power and depth of the mind’s eye,” said Maciej Binkowski, publishing director at Artifex Mundi. “The universes humans can develop can be beautifully surreal, and we want to invite players into the strange machinations in our heads.”

My Brother Rabbit will be available in Q3 2018.

The Binding Of Isaac: Four Souls Kickstarter Campaign Announced For Themed Card Game!

SANTA CRUZ, California, June 27, 2018 — Edmund McMillen today announced that the crowd-funded Kickstarter campaign for The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls has launched and is now open for backing. The all-new project from Edmund McMillen, the video game designer and creator of indie mega-hits Super Meat Boy and The Binding of Isaac, is a card game based on the themes and storylines presented in The Binding of Isaac series.

The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls will take elements of what fans experienced in the iconic video game series and drop it in physical form onto players’ card gaming location of choice. 2-4 players can randomly choose from four different playable characters, each with their own unique abilities that can affect the gameplay. Once started, players will have the opportunity to encounter an endless array of familiar monsters and items from the video game series as they decide whether to barter, play cooperatively or betray their opponents.

“Designing this was fun and easy and I’m treating this as I would any video game that I’ve ever worked on,” said designer Edmund McMillen. “The goal is to make a very playable and entertaining card game that has a lot of strategy to it and embodies everything that’s unique about The Binding of Isaac.”

In order to make this dream not a nightmare, a Kickstarter campaign has been created forThe Binding of Isaac: Four Souls with a 30-day target goal of $50,000. If met, backers who provided monetary pledges will receive their tier of goods, which range from digital items to the base game plus expansion packs, collector’s editions, bonus swag items and more! With love and support and crowdsourcing help from fans, The Binding of Isaac: Four Soulscard game will release in winter 2018.

A working prototype for The Binding of Isaac: Four Souls has already been created and includes 100 Monster Cards, 100 Loot Cards, 100 Treasure Cards, 100 Pennies, 4 Character Cards, 4 Power Cards and 2 dice. Each game begins with players selecting a Character Card and receiving 3 Loot Cards and 3 Pennies. Players then take turns playing Loot Cards to attack monsters in order to gain resources that can be used to purchase items. Once strong enough, players can battle boss monsters that will yield souls. The first player to end their turn with four souls is crowned the winner.

Norse Action-Adventure Fimbul Rages onto Nintendo Switch Later This Year!

COPENHAGEN, Denmark – June 26, 2018: Danish developer Zaxis is excited to announce it’s partnered with Munich-based publisher EuroVideo to bring comic-action-adventure Fimbul to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC later this year.

Derived from the long, cruel winter preceding the Viking apocalypse – better known as Ragnarok by all those au fait with Norse mythology – Fimbul tells the tale of an aging berserker Kveldulver, who travels through the frozen Midgard taking on Trolls and Jotuns to reclaim an ancient artifact that might, just might prevent the end of the world.

It’s a game inspired by the Saxo Grammaticus – the Danish Book of Kings – and intertwines northern European legend with a comic book-style narrative, exploration elements and a weapons-based combat system.

The non-linear story is heavily influenced by the player’s actions. Thanks to an autosave feature called “The Thread of Life”, players will be able to come back to crucial moments in the story to explore alternative branches at any moment. Fimbul will reward exploring its world with lots of secret areas and encounters that will shine a new light on the background of different characters.

The combat system is designed to be easy to learn but difficult to master. Kveldulver will have to get to grips with a wide variety of weaponry, matching up his arsenal with an array of different enemies taking him on in a range of diverse environments.
On his journey, the berserker will also encounter other Vikings which can be recruited into his party. Players will have to use their Vikings’ individual skills and different items to survive against enemy warriors and dangerous creatures like hungry wolves, monsters, and the giant Jotun.

More about the world of Fimbul can be found on Steam. The game will be published under EuroVideo’s Wild River label.
