Treasure-Hunting Roguelike UnderMine Out Now on Nintendo Switch!
VANCOUVER, British Columbia – Feb. 11, 2021 – UnderMine, the action-adventure roguelike brimming with secrets from developer Thorium Entertainment, blasts open secret passages today on Nintendo Switch after more than 600,000 miners enjoyed the game on Steam and via Xbox Game Pass.
Step into the shoes of an unlucky adventurer and charge through a dangerous system of mines and caverns filled with monstrous creatures, puzzling challenges, and heavenly rewards. Fight carefully, for reckless peasants may find themselves meeting an early grave. Death is not the end, as the next poor potential hero receives some of the fallen worker’s gold and can purchase permanent upgrades or get a financial leg up on their run.
Demolition experience is a plus; use bombs as weapons and tools to locate secret passages containing hidden loot or potential allies. If the hired hand can survive against the many malicious monsters in each level, they then have the chance to square off against the massive, room-filling bosses that guard more spoils.
Abilities granted from relics, magical potions, and treasure add a layer of strategy and planning for the mindful adventurer. Make use of these wondrous items, enhancing the current run’s profit margin. Collect all the gold possible to make the next run easier, or purchase equipment and upgrades aiding the current descent.
Veteran miners can test their mettle in the Othermine, a hardcore roguelike experience; start each descent with no upgrades for maximum replayability. Thorium will dive even further into the UnderMine with post-launch updates in the coming months for all platforms with new zones, bosses, and items.
“We put a lot of work into the Switch version of UnderMine, making sure it runs perfectly at 60 frames per second in both handheld and docked mode,” said Derek Johnson, Founder, Thorium Entertainment. “If it’s your first time delving into the mines or if you’re picking it up to play it on the go, UnderMine on the Switch is the perfect way to play.”
UnderMine is available now on Nintendo Switch for $19.99. UnderMine supports English, French, German, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese, Korean, and Russian language text.

Playable Sitcom 3 out of 10 Comes to Nintendo Switch on March 3rd!
BOSTON — Feb. 11, 2020 — 3 out of 10, the episodic playable sitcom from Terrible Posture Games about life at the world’s worst game development studio, goes multi-platform with a pivot to Nintendo Switch on Wednesday, March 3.
Over 4.5 million players tuned in for 3 out of 10’s debut season last fall on the Epic Games Store, where new episodes released every week for five weeks. Now, on consoles, experience the entire five-episode season in one package. Dive deeper with a bevy of brand-new special features including the surprise-filled Open Explore Mode, actor profiles, the official soundtrack, a concept art gallery, Big Head Mode, and director commentary.
Game animator Midge Potter shows up for a job interview at Shovelworks Studios, a beleaguered bunch of game dev ne’er-do-wells who have yet to earn a review score higher than 3 out of 10.
Before she can ask, “What’s your work-from-home policy,” Midge finds herself fending off shark-obsessed protestors, shuttling sacrificial interns back to the campus halls from whence they came, and stocking up on foam bullets for an office-wide battle royale. Small wonder the Shovelworks team can’t seem to finish their game. How are you supposed to get any work done with sentient mannequins and a flamethrower-obsessed character artist wreaking daily havoc?
Equal parts video game and animated show, 3 out of 10 tackles the ridiculous business of making games with irreverent reverence. Follow a cast of zany, larger-than-life developers while each episode pays homage to gaming history with clever mini-games. Brave a game dev university, the secret tunnels to Canada, and more with cover-based shooting, side-scrolling brawls, first-person sneaking, brain-teasing puzzles, pinball, and loads of other game styles both fresh and nostalgic.
“Bringing 3 out of 10 to Nintendo Switch was a chance to give new and returning players alike a fresh look at what it’s really like to be a game developer,” said Joe Mirabello, creative director for Terrible Posture Games. “And if that’s not enough of a window into this industry, check out our directors’ commentary for thoughts about making a game about making a game!”
3 out of 10 will launch for Nintendo Switch on Wednesday, March 3 for $9.99.

Grappling Hook Platformer Get-A-Grip Chip Swings March 25th onto Nintendo Switch!
NEW YORK — February 9, 2021 — Get-A-Grip Chip, the charming and satisfyingly challenging grappling hook 2D platformer from Redstart Interactive, escapes ROBOCO Manufacturing via Nintendo Switch on March 25. Face new challenges and earn cosmetic rewards in both the Nintendo Switch and PC versions via a simultaneous update.
Like any other day on the assembly line, Chip and Scan-It Janet happily build Battery Bots. When a factory mishap damages Janet’s circuitry, the discombobulated droid destroys the floor in a flash. Now it’s up to Chip to save the lost Battery Bots and help Janet return to her senses.
Any other wheeled, land-locked robot would find ascending ROBOCO daunting, but not this chap. Chip’s head-mounted magnetic grappling hook makes vertical traversal a breeze. Roll across platforms then launch the hook to acquaint Chip with a fun little thing called the Y-Axis. Get-A-Grip Chip’s satisfying single-button + dual joystick control scheme ensures challenge arises from intelligent, intuitive level design instead of wrestling with that darn controller.
With more than 200 Battery Bots awaiting rescue across 30 lovingly-crafted levels through five diverse worlds, Chip’s got plenty of work to do. Master the hook and fling through the increasingly intense Assembly, Incinerator, Abandoned, Innovation, and Shipping floors. Chuck Chip over chainsaws, launch over lasers, and even escape chases with Scan-It Janet.
Some Bots wait in plain sight while others are hidden in secret rooms off the beaten path. Sure, Chip can beat the game by saving only 120 bots, but why stop there? Get-A-Grip Chip’s Switch debut and accompanying PC update introduces eight new cosmetic skins earned by completing various challenges. Dress up in solid gold or don a vampire outfit, then strut Chip’s stuff and push those skills even further with per-level leaderboards that encourage further mastery.
Navigating treacherous terrain never gets too stressful thanks to an aesthetic inspired by cute retro cartoons. An eclectic score courtesy of Eva Lawitts’ project Stimmerman propels the platforming to new heights with a toe-tapping mix of loungey jazz, hypnotic hip-hop, and even surf rock. And the best part? No head-mounted magnetic grappling hook required to headbang along.
“While Get-A-Grip Chip starts with an assembly line, we hope Nintendo Switch players will feel the love we personally put into making each level,” said Vicky Wei, lead level designer at Redstart Interactive. “Chip’s ‘just one more try’ nature makes it a perfect fit for the platform, and we hope PC players love the new challenges and cosmetic rewards we added.”
Get-A-Grip Chip launches on Nintendo Switch March 25 in English and Japanese for $14.99.

Warcave Reveals Full Class List and Alchemic Attack System for Upcoming Strategy Adventure Black Legend!
Geel, Belgium, February 1, 2021—To build excitement ahead of Black Legend’s upcoming launch, Warcave has revealed details on some of the game’s most important features for fans of turn-based strategy, including descriptions for each of the 15 playable classes, and information about the intricate alchemy battle system.
For fans of strategy games, one of the most anticipated features of Black Legend is the ability to change their team members to one of 15 different classes that are unlocked as the game progresses. With classes ranging from Alchemist to Sharp Shooter, there are options for all kinds of preferred strategy styles.
To unlock a class, the player must collect all the equipment required for that class through exploration or battle. Unlocked skills can be used by characters, no matter their class, opening up a wide range of cross-class builds for players to experiment with.
“We want players to be creative with the customizations available. When it comes to class abilities and equipment, it’s important to experiment with different combinations to find the best way to defend your party, or defeat the boss,” said Menno van der Heijden, Black Legend Creative Director. “A varied party is essential for survival in the city of Grant.”
Classes
Alchemist: Trained in the noble art of Alchemy, these heavily armored individuals spend day and night perfecting their skills in battle, supporting allies and debilitating opponents with a mixture of powders, explosions and concoctions.
Buccaneer: The stigma of jolly sailors means very little to this ocean hardened folk. Armed with both melee and ranged options, they wield a variety of tools and curses to be as versatile as possible as part of their crew.
Commander: Beacons of inspiration on the battlefield, these tacticians point out targets, inspire comrades and instill fear in enemies, carrying that momentum alongside their allies through their own offensive abilities.
Doppelsoldner: People trained in the art of the greatsword rely on heavy damage in the fray of battle to set up their allies for devastating results. The wide swings can strike multiple enemies, while the strong blade is designed to primarily injure fellow humans.
Dragoon: Light on their feet and specialized in Pyrokinetics, the Dragoon leaves a blazing trail in their wake. With zero regard for their own safety, many who face Dragoons are reduced to naught but ash.
Duelist: Bearers of slender steel and unshaken honor, these masters of the blade employ any and all tactics to ensure victory in head-on combat. Their strength, speed and skill are only matched by a few, and they would not have it any other way.
Executioner: Justice is inescapable when placed in the capable hands of these merciless men and women. Clad in heavy armor, they deliver death swiftly and efficiently, either by axe or bullet.
Guard: Stalwart protectors of the weak, their shields deflect even the worst of harm, while their arms inflict proper retribution on the offenders. In battle, one cannot find tougher opponents, requiring a solid offense plan to counter their impressive defense.
Inquisitor: Hunters who roam the streets, searching for corruption in any form. Dedicated to protecting mankind from all things unnatural, one wonders how much of their own humanity they left behind in their search for the powers to do so…
Landsknecht: Proud bearers of spears, halberds, hardened by years of marching through all landscapes known to man. Their endurance training makes them the quickest on the field when it comes to bearing heavy armor, and excel at reducing enemy mobility when they’re on the offensive.
Marauder: Heavy weapons and light armor define the overall tactics employed by these ruffians, relying on brute power and speed to overwhelm opponents.
Mercenary: The base, the foundation of all warfare in the world. These men and women fight for no cause, no glory nor creed, but mere coin. How fitting then, to start your journey this way. Their lack of advanced battle techniques is offset by their ability to adapt to any situation by being able to equip all weapons and armor.
Plague Doctor: Masters of Humorism, the body holds no secrets for these patrons of pestilence. What can cure can also kill, and their relentless studies have made them both deadly opponents as well as wondrous companions.
Rogue: The term ‘scoundrel’ is not an insult but a title for the shady rulers of the streets. Agile and cunning, they can identify weaknesses and exploit them with ease, before retreating back to the safety of the shrouds of Grant.
Sharpshooter: Masters of crossbow and rifle, these soldiers rule from the edges of the battlefield, sniping distant targets with deadly accuracy. Keep their enemies at a distance, and in turn, they will keep the enemy at death’s door with ease.
Alchemy
This ancient branch of natural philosophy adds an explosive twist to combat in Black Legend. Based on the real history behind alchemy, this system includes the four stages of the magnum opus, also known as the process to create the philosopher’s stone,—nigredo, albedo, ctrinitas and rubedo. When combined, these four stages create a variety of brutal battle effects:
- Bronze: A combination of rubedo and ctrinitas, representing Disease
- Red: Rubedo, representing External Bleeding
- Crimson: A combination of rubedo and nigredo, representing Internal Bleeding
- Black: Nigredo, representing black bile caused by Heavy Impact
- Silver: A combination of Albedo and Nigredo, representing Poison
- White: Albedo, representing phlegm caused by metal poisoning from Sharp Weapons
- Gold: A combination of Albedo and Ctrinitas, representing Weakness of the Mind and Soul
- Yellow: Ctrinitas, representing yellow bile caused by Explosives
Black Legend will launch for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X in Q1 2021.
