Amazon UK drops price of their MK8 Bundle for Wii U to £209.00!

It appears Amazon UK has dropped their Mario Kart 8 Wii U bundle price to £209.00. Sources say the old price was approximately ~£229.00.

This is a pretty decent price considering the Super Mario U + Luigi U bundle is £229.85 and the Wind Waker bundle is £249.89.

The big decision is really the cost of those games by themselves. Wind Waker sells for £42.99 and Mario Kart 8 sells for £38.00.

Based on those numbers, the MK8 bundle is definitely the most cost-effective purchase at this point in time!

UPDATE

Amazon UK has reversed the MK8 bundle back to £229.00. This is still a good deal compared to the Wind Waker bundle.

Splatoon Global Testfire is back for another round on May 23rd!

Nintendo will deliver another round of the Splatoon Global Testfire next week, the company announced on Twitter today. If you missed out on the first few hours that the Testfire had to offer, now is the perfect time to jump in before Splatoon launches on May 29th!

Round 2 of Splatoon Global Testfire is taking place on May 23rd, and again lasts for just one hour. From 3 to 4pm PT (6 to 7pm EST), players can experience Splatoon’s 4-on-4 Turf War mode on the demo’s two maps, using a variety of four weapon sets to aggressively annihilate foes and paint the map with their blood… sorry, I meant using your ink! That roller has gotten to me, it seems. If you haven’t played the Testfire yet, or if you’ll be missing out this time as well, you can check out Nintendo Treehouse’s hands-on time with the game to get an idea of what you will be getting into later this month.

Nintendo’s answer to third-person shooters, Splatoon is an absolute contrast to what we expect from that type of game. A colorful, Nickelodeon-style squid-based ink shooter, Splatoon is a refreshing take on a seemingly stagnant genre. But what else can we expect? We’ll find out on May 29th when Splatoon officially launches for Wii U.

Canvaleon launches June 18 on the Wii U eShop!

Canvaleon is a stealth platformer that has players using the environment and their skills to slip past enemies and threats. It’s possible to use “Camouflages” (or “Camo”) to mimic elements of scenery. The more similar the colors are, the more “Camo Percentage” will be granted. You’ll go undetected depending on the percentage.

Players can obtain camouflages in two ways. They can either purchase them from a store, or paint them using a paint tool. Both options require the game’s collectible: color butterflies.

If you like stealth games, then make sure to check this out on the Nintendo eShop when it launches on June 18th!

This game looks quite fun based on the kickstarter video. The art is fantastic and the development team appears to have done a great job so far. Hopefully enough people back this so we can get a Wii U release as well, which is at the $35,000 point.

There campaign has reached over $25,000 with 15 days to go, so there’s under $10,000 to go for this stretch goal!

Secret Items Games’ running Kickstarter for Super Paperman; 4-Player Couch Co-op for Wii U!

Super Paperman casts you as the titular Paperman, a literal paper man who delivers dreams from one person to the other. Naturally, the dream world where Paperman resides is in danger, as it begins to drift apart and leave our leading (paper) man lost in a broken land. As the sole Paperman, it’s up to you to fix the world and once again deliver dreams to the people. But maybe one isn’t enough? That’s where Super Paperman’s defining feature comes in. Four player local co-op creates an entirely different experience, adding another dimension to Super Paperman’s 2D exterior, with foreground and background elements adding an immersive depth as players race through 35 levels over 7 worlds.

Super Paperman features non-linear platforming, players can choose through multiple routes, switching between different layers to bypass enemies, use different environmental tricks, and discovering hidden areas. The game encourages to experiment with the level design, and expands on platforming from route A to B in a fun, unique way.

Source: 8-Worlds News

Secret Items Games is looking for backers to help achieve their goal of €35 000. Super Paperman is currently being planned for multiple platforms such as the Wii U. If the Kickstarter is successfully funded, the game should release sometime in March 2016.
