Baron: Fur is Gonna Fly Takes Off March 4th On Nintendo Switch!

PERTH, AUSTRALIA – Feb. 5, 2020 – Baron: Fur is Gonna Fly, the high-flying party showdown from Dogmelon Games, barrel rolls onto Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Steam on March 4, 2020.

Fight for the skies against up to seven other players using gatling guns, freeze rays and anvils to take out rival pilots, all while the wind blows through your fur, feathers or scales. Spin, dive and loop through cascades of bullets and avoid perilously crashing to the ground below to become ruler of the skies.

Responding to the call to arms, animals have taken to the skies in cutting-edge early 20th century aviation technology – biplanes. Fulfil their solemn duty by taking each other down in wacky combat and bringing glory to their species in literal aerial dogfights. Choose between eight cartoony critters such as Baron von Fluffe-Botte, a high-flying sausage dog or Colonel Hock, a motherly pig following her dreams of flight. These heroes each come with their own style, voice and old-timey victory theme.

Looking fly in styles of the period choose from four, semi-historically accurate aircraft. Each has its own stats balancing weight, handling, speed and armor, empowering ace-pilots or budding flyers to select the perfect plane for their aerial antics. Further customization comes from upgrading the biplanes stats between rounds, and changing up equipped special weapons.

While the aircraft may be historically accurate, animal pilots excluded, the weapons are hilariously not. If the basic barrage of bullets isn’t enough, equip one of more than 13 outlandish weapons to blow other critters out of the sky. Get explosive with the colourful Balloon Bomb, spew forth hot victory with the Flamethrower or simply repulse away the competition with the Stinky Fish. Crashing is only a minor setback as pilots return to the sky mere moments after their defeat to continue the aerial hijinks.

The variety of multiplayer and singleplayer modes might call for a bigger couch. Create an alliance to take down agile foes in team co-op, or embrace aerial chaos with in free-for-all. Solo ace-pilots can hone their skills in training mode or compete to get the highest score in Sheep Attack by rounding up flying sheep, putting an end to their aerial menace.

“In between crafting all the animal puns we can handle we’ve focused on capturing that chaotic couch multiplayer feeling,” said Anthony Wiese, Lead Developer of Dogmelon Games. “Our aim from the start was to make Baron as much ludicrous fun as possible and from players reactions so far we’ve done just that.”

Baron: Fur is Gonna Fly will be available for $20 USD on Steam for PC, Nintendo Switch and Xbox One. Languages include English, Chinese and Japanese for Steam, with more to be added post-launch.

Infiltrate Humanity as an Anxious Android in Speaking Simulator Today on Nintendo Switch!

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA – January 30, 2020 – Speaking Simulator, the hilarious game about an android struggling to infiltrate human society, dominates social situations with perfect pronunciation on Nintendo Switch and Steam today.

Create an android with the goal of living among and eventually subjugating the good people of Earth. Learn their mannerisms, their customs, their pastimes, and their way of speaking. Equipped with advanced speech emulation technology, it should be no problem at all. And yet…

Talking is not always easy for humans. This “human” tends towards awkward pauses, excessive eye contact, and inappropriate mouth noises. Wield tricky QWOP-style controls to manipulate the android’s lips and tongue to form accurate meat noises that hopefully sound something like words. Execute perfect gesticulation and the world will not stand a chance.

Scenarios start off as basic watercooler chat but quickly become more complicated. Challenges like shoveling peas into the android’s mouth mid-sentence make the inherent pain of human interaction even more apparent. The poor robot has an adverse reaction to people becoming suspicious of it: as it flubs more words, its face gradually starts to smoke and eventually explode. Emulating and infiltrating humanity with half a face might be…difficult.

The smoother the speech, the higher the score, allowing for more upgrades to ramp up the difficulty and the score threshold. Optimize Socio-Optic Dynamics to adjust eye contact with suspicious humans. Choose to install some new Expressive Facial Pistons to activate eyebrow wiggling to express intricate human face emotions. PC players can use their own faces to manipulate the android by enabling the webcam controller option in the control settings.

“01000100 01101111 00100000 01101110 01101111 01110100 00100000 01110001 01110101 01100101 01110011 01110100 01101001 01101111 01101110 00100000 01101111 01110101 01110010 00100000 01101000 01110101 01101101 01100001 01101110 01101001 01110100 01111001,” said Jed Dawson, co-founder at Affable Games. “Making words is hard, but making words in front of humans is harderer. That is why we made Speaking Simulator. So humans like us can speak to other humans.”

Speaking Simulator is available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Russian, Korean and Traditional and Simplified Chinese today on PC/Mac via Steam. Korean, Russian and Simplified and Traditional Chinese will be available on Switch at a later date, with all other languages available at launch.

Hardcore Turn-Based Tactics RPG Battle Brothers Heads to Switch in 2020!

London, United Kingdom – January 30th, 2020 – UKIYO Publishing and Overhype Studios are proud to announce that its critically acclaimed procedurally-generated tactics title Battle Brothers is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2020. Soon, you’ll be able to manage your merry band of mercenaries on the go!

Having launched on PC to rave reviews in 2017, Battle Brothers is a turn-based tactical RPG in which players accrue their own mercenary gang in a gritty, medieval fantasy world. You decide whom to hire, where to go, what contracts to take on, and how to manage your private militia. Running a company requires blood, sweat and tears as you balance your budget, equip your crew, and do whatever it takes to put food on the table as you wander through this unforgiving world.

Once in combat, Battle Brothers is a different kind of tactical affair, as you position your players into place. They best be well equipped, however, as different weapons will have different advantages and disadvantages against the rogue gallery of cronies. Split shields with axes, stun enemies with a mace, form a phalanx with spears, or crush enemy armour with a war-hammer. Everything in Battle Brothers is permanent, so once you lose a soldier, they’re gone forever. And if you lose your whole squad, it’s game over! The world of Battle Brothers is rough and unforgiving, ensuring that the stakes are always high both in battle and in the monetary management outside of it.

In addition to all of Battle Brothers’ tactical depth, UKIYO Publishing and Overhype Studios will release all DLC, including the Lindwurm, Warriors of the North, Beasts & Exploration, and Blazing Deserts expansions, adding a bevy of new gameplay mechanics, quests, creatures, equipment and more post-launch this summer.

“Battle Brothers was a big success for us on PC thanks to our passionate and supportive community that offered us loads of useful feedback,” said Jan Taaks from Overhype Studios. “Among other things a Switch version of the game was kept being requested to allow Battle Brothers to be played on the go. In addition, we can now bring our challenging, hardcore strategy game to a whole new audience on the Switch!”

“When we first saw Battle Brothers we were instantly in love with it and were really hoping that we could port it to Switch for a whole new audience,” said Martin Hann of UKIYO Publishing. “We love both tactics titles and gaming on the go, so this was a match made in heaven… only with a lot more decapitations.”
