Paris, June 13, 2022 – Microids is pleased to announce a demo for the indie game Scrap Riders is now available during the Steam Next Fest, from today until June 20. The game will launch digitally on Nintendo Switch and Steam on September 21^st, 2022.

Scrap Riders is a pixel art beat’em up adventure game set in a cyberpunk future, developed by Spanish studio Games for Tutti. You play as Rast, a member of the outlaw bikers gang Scrap Riders, and make your way through the wastelands as well as a big metropolis controlled by corporations. Act as a smuggler with caustic humor to survive in this post-apocalyptic world.

Fight your way through this 2D beat them up using your fists and guns, but beware: the wastelands are not for the faint of heart. There, violence is always the answer, but it won’t be enough! Without your wits you won’t last long. Talk to the right people, gather clues, and kick bad guys’ asses!

Paris, June 11, 2022 – During today’s Guerrilla Collective showcase, Microids unveiled the very first gameplay footage for Arkanoid – Eternal Battle in a brand-new trailer. Developed by French studio Pastagames, the game will invite players to discover or rediscover the iconic block breaker in a fully modernized and revamped version. Arkanoid – Eternal Battle is set to release in October 2022 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One consoles, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Arkanoid – Eternal Battle will offer a cross play online multiplayer experience.

As a reminder, Arkanoid is an iconic arcade game developed by TAITO Corporation in 1986. When the mother ship ARKANOID comes under attack, the small spacecraft VAUS manages to escape but ends up warped into another dimension. Wandering in an inter-dimensional labyrinth, VAUS must destroy blocks called “spacewalls” in order to defeat “DOH”, the creator of the maze responsible for ARKANOID’s destruction.

Arkanoid – Eternal Battle marks the return of the emblematic block breaker game in a surprising, renewed version. The new gameplay trailer introduces the four game modes:

• Retro: Teleport yourself in an old school arcade parlor back in 1986 and enjoy the original game like if you were there!

• Neo: This solo mode expands on the classic gameplay with brand-new levels, a modern and stylish art direction & sounds as well as new unique blocks, bonuses and effects!

• Versus: Play locally with 2 to 4 players on the same screen!

• Eternal Battle: For the very first time, 25 players can challenge each other online in an exclusive Battle Royale mode! Use your power ups to gain advantage and aim at the top score to be the last one standing and win the game!

Paris, March 10th, 2022 – Microids Indie and studio Toppluva are thrilled to announce that Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands is now available on Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam). Developed by Swedish studio Toppluva, Grand Mountain Adventure: Wonderlands is a refreshing open-world skiing & snowboarding game where you get to explore snowy slopes filled with hundreds of challenges and trials. The digital version of the game is now available on the Nintendo eShop and PC (Steam). The retail Switch version has launched today in Europe and will be available on March 22nd in North America.

Paris – November 16th 2021 – Microids is delighted to announce the release of the cute and colourful platformer Marsupilami: Hoobadventure on PC and consoles!

The three Marsupilamis Punch, Twister and Hope are coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Get ready to travel through various environments and jump all over the place to save the animals from a terrible curse.

About Marsupilami: Hoobadventure

Punch, Twister and Hope are three Marsupilamis living a peaceful life in Palombia. Their lives are about to take a drastic turn when they accidentally open a sarcophagus whilst playing with debris on a beach, releasing a mysterious ghost cursing all the animals! Thankfully, our three Marsupilamis are immune to the curse and decide to set out on an adventure, find the ghost and reverse the curse.

Inspired by the comic book Marsupilami from Franquin, this 2.5D platformer takes you on a colorful journey through the Palombian jungle, a coastal city and even an abandoned temple. Jump, punch, dash and swing with your tail like only Marsupilamis do!

While mainly targeting a younger audience, the most dedicated gamers will be delighted to learn that a Time Attack mode will challenge them to finish each level as fast as they can. And for the completionists, a beautiful artwork gallery will be unlocked after collecting hidden feathers and visiting secret dojos.

The Marsupilami is a fictional animal created by André Franquin appearing for the first time in the “Spirou & Fantasio” comic book series. The Marsupilami was so popular it earned its own dedicated hard cover series published by Dupuis.

Paris, October 28th 2021 – Microids is delighted to show for the very first time the artistic direction of Grendizer through two artworks and a tantalizing teaser. UFO Robot Grendizer will be released in 2023 on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Stéphane Longeard, CEO of Microids, is very enthusiastic about the development progress: “we are delighted to finally share the firsts screens from Grendizer. Endroad is a very talented studio and we are confident in their expertise to transcribe the universe created by Go Nagai in a great video game. We cannot wait to share more about the title’s gameplay!”

Grendizer is developed by the French development studio Endroad, made up of experienced developers formerly at Ubisoft or Amplitude Studios. Additionally, the renown art & creative director Laurent Cluzel will lend a hand in the production of the game. Alongside Laurent, Philippe “Golgoth71” Dessoly, Ocean Software veteran (where he started in 1989) and Grendizer’s official artist for five years, will also pitch in to support the creative efforts on the game’s art style.

Paris, October 14th, 2021 – Microids is pleased to reveal today the return of an iconic Japanese franchise, that has delighted a whole generation of gamers around the world, as Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja will make its grand return to consoles and PC in 2022. The French publisher continues with its strategy of developing games based on Japanese licenses, such as the previously announced Goldorak and two games based on Taito franchises.

Originally released in the early 90’s on Japanese soil as an arcade game, Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja is an arcade/platformer, playable solo or in cooperation. This new iteration of the game, developed by Mr. Nutz Studio (Toki, Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All!), will invite players to go back to the Prehistoric Age and embody Prehistoric Men, ready to do anything to save the women of their tribe.

More than a remake of the arcade version, Joe & Mac: Caveman Ninja will include a handful of new features such as an original adventure mode containing brand new levels!

“It’s a real honor to offer gamers the chance to rediscover these characters that marked their generation. We have full confidence in Mr. Nutz Studio to bring these little prehistoric men back to life” says Stéphane Longeard, CEO of Microids.
