Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition Out This Week on Nintendo Switch!

5 MAY, 2021 – Nongunz: Doppelganger Edition, the nihilistic action-platformer from indie developer Brainwash Gang and published by Digerati, launches this week on PC and console. It will be available from today, 5 May, on PS4, 6 May for Nintendo Switch, and 7 May on Xbox One, and PC (Steam, GOG, Humble, Green Man Gaming, Fanatical, and Nuveem). There will be a 20% launch discount for consoles, and 10% on PC.

Nongunz first launched on PC in 2017, with PS4 and Switch versions planned to follow. However, when Sindiecate – the game’s publisher at the time – vanished without a trace, the future for Nongunz and the planned console versions looked uncertain.

Following a chance encounter with Brainwash Gang at 35,000 feet (they were on the same flight), Digerati jumped at the opportunity to sign Nongunz and is thrilled to be able to give a remastered version of the game the full release it deserves across PC and, for the very first time, console.

Digerati is happy to confirm that anyone who owns the original Nongunz on Steam will receive a copy of Doppelganger Edition into their Steam Library absolutely free.

A roguelite wrapped inside a riddle, each run in Nongunz sees you parting from a black and white graveyard into an ever-changing gothic dungeon full of nightmares fleshed out of human viscera. Surviving not only requires skill but style, since Nongunz rewards you for long-lasting combos and challenges… moreover, score plays a key role in the progress of the idle game: the formation of your very own band of lost souls and death cultists.

Apsulov: End of Gods To Launch Summer 2021 on Nintendo Switch!

4 MAY, 2021 – Indie publisher Digerati is delighted to announce it’s bringing Apsulov: End of Gods to consoles, with the game launching digitally for Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5. Apsulov: End of Gods is currently scheduled to launch summer 2021.

Created by Sweden-based developer Angry Demon Studio, Apsulov: End of Gods brings together technology and Norse myth in an atmospheric first-person horror adventure. First launched on PC in 2019, Apsulov was the recipient of an Epic Mega Grant, and won DreamHack’s ‘Best Horror’ award.

“We worked incredibly hard to create a rich, atmospheric world for Apsulov, and the response we’ve had from PC players is a great source of pride for us,” says Angry Demon Studio CEO, John Kalderon. “It’s always been our aim to bring the game to consoles, so we’re thrilled that it’s finally happening and console owners will soon get a chance to discover the secrets of Yggdrasil for themselves.”

In addition to the digital versions, Digerati has partnered with publisher Perp Games to bring Apsulov: End of Gods physical editions to console formats, including PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. The physical versions will include the game, and downloadable soundtrack and artbook.

“Anyone who has played Apsulov on PC will know its atmospheric blend of horror and sci-fi wrapped in the lore of Norse mythology makes for a potent combination,” says Digerati director, Nick Alfieri. “It’s a game that absolutely deserves to exist in the physical realm as well as the digital, so we’re happy to be working with Perp Games to make that happen.”

“This is no ‘typical’ haunted house game. Angry Demon Studio has created a real horror game steeped in Norse mythology,” said Rob Edwards, Managing Director at Perp Games. “It is a pleasure to work with Angry Demon Studio and Digerati to publish the physical versions of this incredibly atmospheric horror game.”

The Apsulov: End of Gods physical editions will be available to purchase from Perp Games starting summer 2021.

A Musical Story Begins This Summer on Nintendo Switch!

9 March, 2021 – Indie publisher Digerati and developer Glee-Cheese Studio are delighted to announce A Musical Story for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and iOS. The game is scheduled to launch this summer.

A music/narrative experience set in the 1970s, A Musical Story is part rhythm game, part interactive art, and uses the connection between music and memory as a central theme. There’s no text or dialogue – the entire story is told through the game’s original music (influenced by bands such as Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and Air) and distinct animated art style.

Starting work on the project in 2017, the four-man team at French developer Glee-Cheese Studio experimented with many different prototypes, each one exploring various story concepts, and musical and visual styles, before settling on a final vision for A Musical Story they felt would set it apart from other music/rhythm games.

“We wanted to make something different, something that would stick in the minds of players, both for its gameplay and story. It took a huge amount of time to find the right formula, but this one was the most inspiring,” says Charles Bardin, the game’s designer and co-composer.

“In most musical games, there’s a visual timeline, showing exactly when to play the notes. We’ve focused instead on creating an experience that relies on the listening skills of the player, so they must feel the music, understand it, to progress and unveil the story.”

About the game

A Musical Story is a rhythm game set against a 70s backdrop. Explore the memories of Gabriel, a young man trying to come to terms with his situation through the connections to his musical memory. Each correctly played melody opens a new chapter into Gabriel’s past, bringing him closer to the truth.

Key features

  • Rekindle Gabriel’s memories with rhythmic button presses in time with the music
  • Storytelling without words – discover Gabriel’s journey through music and visuals alone
  • Gabriel’s story comes to life through a beautifully crafted art style created by Alexandre Rey
  • A unique original soundtrack featuring 26 songs, composed and performed by Charles Bardin and Valentin Ducloux
  • Play every song perfectly to unlock a hidden chapter

14 January, 2021 – Indie publisher Digerati is delighted to announce Tunnel of Doom – an easy-to-pick-up action rogue-lite that combines real-time tower defense with melee and ranged combat gameplay. Tunnel of Doom will launch Q2 2021 on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox One (backwards compatible with Xbox Series X/S).

PC players will be able to try Tunnel of Doom before its launch, thanks to an upcoming open beta, which is scheduled to run 29 Jan – 1 Feb. To participate in the beta, players can sign-up now at the following link: https://www.digerati.games/tunnelbeta

Tunnel of Doom is the second game from Helsinki-based developer, Antti Vaihia. After finishing work on his previous project, a 2D arena shooter called Gun Bombers, Vaihia was desperate to start on something new:

“My debut title left a void in my life. I needed another fix to feed the addiction. Luckily, I stumbled upon a tweet from Jan Willem Nijman (Vlambeer) about simple random level generation,” explains Vaihia. “After toying around with this mechanic, I started to imagine the kind of game it could inspire. Sticking with the mining theme of my previous game I set forth to put my own spin to the rogue-lite scene. It’s been a blast. Cheers to you Jan!”

About the game

Tunnel of Doom is an action rogue-lite hybrid that mixes tower defense with melee and ranged combat gameplay. Randomly generated, every run is different as you guide Angel on a quest to rescue her husband. Gather resources, discover perks, and use what you find to battle waves of monsters.

Key features

  • Set Traps: It’s you against the hordes! Boost your chances of success and survival by strategically positioning cannons and barricades before battles begin.
  • Gather Resources: Smash lamps. Destroy crates. Blow up rocks. Search the mine for materials that can be used as makeshift weapons or ammunition for traps.
  • Weapon Combat: If your revolver or rifle ammo is running low… improvise! Throw rocks or glass. Swing your pickaxe. Break out the TNT. Do what it takes to avoid being mobbed by the monsters!
  • Find Perks: Better traps. Improved weapons. More resources. There are 50 perks to discover, each offering an array of stat boosts and gameplay tweaks.
  • Randomly Generated: The layout of the mine, perks, and monster battles change with each new game, meaning every run is different!
  • Dream Mode: Escape the mine to unlock this new, endless challenge.

Tunnel of Doom takes place in 1903 at Goldcrest, a small mining town. Due to an unknown incident, the mayor has shut down the mine until further notice. With her husband trapped inside, Angel enters the mine to investigate and search for survivors. Little does she know, hordes of ghoulish creatures are lurking in the darkness…
