Choice-Driven RPG Stolen Realm Has Arrived For Nintendo Switch!

Los Angeles, USA – 8th March 2024 –  Burst2Flame are pleased to announce that their simultaneous turn-based tactical RPG, Stolen Realm, is available now on PC, Xbox and Switch. Stolen Realm takes the core of the RPG experience and distills it down into a fast-paced experience free of RPG-bloat so that you can focus on making important choices. That includes strategic decisions in combat, how to take advantage of a highly flexible class system that lets you build everything from spell-slinging assassins to shadow-infused knights, and the opportunity to make dubious deals with demons in just one example of the attribute-altering events you might encounter on your journey.

Play Stolen Realm solo, or in co-op with up to six heroes, as you build a unique hero from a pool of over 300 skills in 10 distinct skill trees and arm yourself with over 700 unique lootable items, each fully customisable with modifiers. Frictionless drop-in/drop-out systems give players the flexibility to join or leave mid-quest, with the game automatically scaling difficulty based on the number of players currently active.

Stolen Realm takes the deep tactical systems of RPGs like Baldur’s Gate 3 and Divinity: Original Sin and gives it a unique twist. Simultaneous turns allows all members of the player and enemy team to take their actions at once, creating the kinds of fast-paced encounters you’d typically find in action RPGs, without sacrificing the strategic richness you’d expect from a turn-based RPG.

As you explore procedurally generated dungeons that range from frosty peaks to overgrown jungles, picking your path between battles, story events, resource gathering, shops and treasure rooms on your way to the final boss, you can discover and customise awesome gear that can radically change the way you play. Wield Abbadon the Soul Crusher, a mythic mace that raises slain enemies as skeletal warriors to fight for you, or unsheath the Bloodletter, a cursed sword that grants additional power at the cost of your lifeblood. D&D-like attribute based rolls that have permanent effects on your character in special events add further variety and intrigue to your adventure.

Stolen Realm features a full story-based campaign, a roguelike mode, hardcore mode and a streamer mode that allows viewers of a stream to step onto the role of dungeon master, voting and deciding on the enemies and events the streamer will face.

“We can’t thank our community enough for all their feedback on Stolen Realm during a fantastic Early Access period,” said developer Jason Jolley. “We’re really excited that the release version is now complete and available for everyone on PC, Xbox and Switch.”

Stolen Realm Adds Roguelike Mode To Innovative Simultaneous Turn-Based RPG!

Los Angeles, USA – July 20th, 2023 – Burst2Flame are pleased to announce the release of a new update today that adds an extensive fast-paced Roguelike Mode to Stolen Realm, their innovative, simultaneous turn-based tactical RPG. Praised by the likes of Shroud and Sacriel for the flexibility of its class customisation and a design that avoids RPG bloat, Stolen Realm is currently in Early Access and due to release on PC, Switch and Xbox in 2023.

Stolen Realm’s new Roguelike mode is a fast paced version of the game where you can mix and match builds that are simply not possible in the traditional campaign. After every battle, you gain a level, choose a random skill and a random item from a set of options. Enemies, Bosses and Events are randomized too, making every run unique. Permadeath is the only option, but even if you fail, each run will help towards permanently unlocking new characters and passive skills for your future runs. Harder difficulties await those who desire greater glory. Can you make it through the roguelike gauntlet and conquer the final dragon?

The new update also adds a battle drops system where powerups that include damage bonuses, cooldown reductions and more, will spawn during battle. The update introduces a new  public lobby system that allows you to join other people’s games without being their friend on Steam and adds full controller support to the game.

Stolen Realm takes the deep tactical systems of RPGs like Divinity: Original Sin and gives it a unique twist. Simultaneous turns allows all members of the player and enemy team to take their actions at once, creating the kinds of fast-paced encounters you’d typically find in action RPGs, without sacrificing the strategic richness that turn-based RPG fans love.

Stolen Realm features  a highly customisable class system that allows you to create traditional RPG classes or break the mould to forge a unique champion of your own. Make a spell-slinging assassin, a priest born of frost, or a shadow-infused knight as you draw from a pool of over 300 possible skills. With over 700 items to loot, each fully customisable with modifiers, there’s even more  opportunity to change the way you play: wield Abbadon the Soul Crusher, a mythic mace that raises slain enemies as skeletal warriors to fight for you, or unsheath the Bloodletter, a cursed sword that grants additional power at the cost of your lifeblood.

Stolen Realm Brings Innovative Turn-Based RPG Action To Nintendo Switch in Q2 2023!

Los Angeles, USA – February 9th, 2023 – Burst2Flame are pleased to announce that their simultaneous turn-based tactical RPG, Stolen Realm, will be exiting its Early Access phase and releasing on PC, Xbox and Switch in Q2 2023. The studio today also released the new World Map Update, removing the transition between the map and battles and introducing three brand new areas to the game, along with a host of other additions and improvements.

Praised by the likes of Shroud and Sacriel for the flexibility of its class customisation and a design that avoids RPG bloat, Stolen Realm takes the deep tactical systems of RPGs like Divinity: Original Sin and gives it a unique twist.

D&D-like special events where attribute-based rolls will have permanent effects on your character add yet another layer to building a character that is truly your own in a title that keeps a constant stream of compelling choices at the forefront of your experience.

With the release of the latest update, a world that changes with every expedition you undertake – either alone or with up to six players together via Stolen Realm’s friction free drop-in/drop-out co-op system –  gets even bigger. Delve deep into the forgotten ruins of the once great Dwarven Halls, adventure into the untamed wilds of the Emerald Jungle and uncover the mysteries of the Sunken Swamplands, facing all new foes like creeping spiders, giant scorpions and Great Wyrms along the way. The transition between the world map and battles is now gone – now you can take your fight directly to enemies on the world map.

A full list of the features added in the new World Map Update can be found here.

“We hope players enjoy the new content we’ve released today in the World Map Update and can’t wait for the full release of Stolen Realm on PC, Xbox and Switch in Q2 2023,” said developer Jason Jolley. “Our goal with Stolen Realm is to focus on the core appeal of RPGs. We want to ensure players are always in combat, looting and making interesting choices, with the freedom to drop-in with friends whenever they want thanks to automatic scaling. It’s been a real pleasure to see how well that concept has connected with our community during the Early Access phase and we’re looking forward to more people being able to experience the game come release”.
