Nintendo discusses upcoming Fire Emblem Warriors DLC for Nintendo Switch and 3DS!

Fire Emblem Warriors, launching for the Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS family of systems on Oct. 20, is a game overflowing with action-packed content. But fans who want to expand their adventure can do so with a host of paid DLC options that begin launching this year. All DLC can be purchased separately for both Nintendo Switch and New Nintendo 3DS systems.

  • Season Pass (Oct. 20, $25.79): The Fire Emblem Warriors Season Pass includes all three DLC packs which become available as they release. Each DLC pack is filled with new playable characters and weapons. By purchasing the Season Pass for either the Nintendo Switch or New Nintendo 3DS version, players will receive a bridal costume for Lucina.

  • DLC Pack #1 (Dec 2017, $11.59): The content in this pack is inspired by Fire Emblem Fates.

  • DLC Pack #2 (Feb 2018, $11.59): Many of the characters and items in this DLC pack hail from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon.

  • DLC Pack #3 (March 2018, $11.59): Fans of Fire Emblem Awakening will love this DLC, as much content is themed after the classic game.

More details about each DLC pack will be revealed in the future.

The Fire Emblem Warriors game is compatible with the new Chrom and Tiki amiibo figures, which both launch on Oct. 20. These, along with other compatible Fire Emblem amiibo figures including Marth, Ike, Robin and Lucina, grant players weapons or materials when tapped. Up to five different compatible amiibo figures can be tapped per day.

Fire Emblem Warriors launches for the Nintendo Switch as well as New Nintendo 3DS, New Nintendo 3DS XL and New Nintendo 2DS XL systems on Oct. 20. A special-edition bundle of the game will launch exclusively for the Nintendo Switch system on the same day at a suggested retail price of $99.99. The special edition includes the game, premium character card set with slip case, a double-sided poster and a three-CD music set.

Golf Story to land Sept 28th on Nintendo Switch!

Save Me Mr Tako: Tasukete Tako-San coming to Nintendo Switch!

SANTA ANA, Calif., August 29, 2017—Nicalis, Inc. today announces the addition of another retro-inspired action-adventure game to its 2017 line-up. The publisher of Cave Story+ and The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ will produce the charming platform adventure Save me Mr Tako: Tasukete Tako-San for the Nintendo Switch console and Steam service. The game is planned for release as a digital download in the fourth quarter of 2017.

Set in a world where humans and octopi are at war with each other, Save me Mr Tako: Tasukete Tako-San tells the tale of a pacifist octopus who rescues a human woman from drowning. An octopus fairy sees this act of kindness and grants Mr Tako (the game’s protagonist) the ability to survive on land, where he can learn more about the ways of humans and help to resolve conflicts between the two species.

Mr Tako navigates through the game’s environments by spitting ink at enemies, which turns them into platforms that he can jump on to reach even higher ground. He can also acquire and wear 50 different hats that give him special abilities, fight 19 deadly boss characters and explore 16 mysterious dungeons scattered throughout six huge worlds.

Save me Mr Tako: Tasukete Tako-San was designed by French indie developer Christophe Galati as a heartfelt homage to the many games he loved to play on Nintendo’s original Game Boy® handheld console. The game’s color palettes are directly inspired by that hardware’s crude LCD display (allowing no more than four onscreen colors at a time), and the sizes of the character sprites are intentionally limited to 1989 standards. The game’s soundtrack also uses Game Boy-era instrumentation to complete the authentic retro vibe.

Save me Mr Tako: Tasukete Tako-San is planned for a simultaneous release on Nintendo Switch and Steam in the fourth quarter of 2017. Pricing info and release date to be announced at a later time.

Image & Form’s SteamWorld Dig 2 emerging September 21st on Nintendo Switch for $19.99!

Howdy, partners!

SteamWorld Dig 2 hits Nintendo Switch on September 21st for $19.99 / €19.99 / £14.99 or your region’s equivalent. That’s something I’ve wanted to write for a very long time! We revealed it today during Nintendo’s Nindies Showcase in a brand new trailer. We tease new worlds, enemies, upgrades and challenges.

We also revealed 10 beautiful new screenshots. Head over to the official game page for all new images and other details.

Release Date and Price

As mentioned above, SteamWorld Dig 2 world premieres on Nintendo Switch in America and Europe on September 21st. According to Almanac.com it’s the penultimate day of summer, so we don’t miss our original summer release window! Isn’t that something?

The game will be available for download on Nintendo eShop for $19.99. That’s twice the price of the original SteamWorld Dig. But since it’s at least ten times as good it’s more than a nice deal. You can expect around 10 hours of gameplay and multiple boss battles in a big, sprawling world which you’re free to explore and dig through at your own pace. The game is even longer for those of you itching to find all secrets and unlockables (and there are plenty).

New Trailers Revealed for Genesis: Alpha One, Yoku’s Island Express and Sword Legacy: Omen!

August 23rd 2017 – Award-winning veteran games developer and international games label Team17 has today revealed new Gamescom trailers for three exciting forthcoming and diverse games from its games label including quirky pinball platformer Yoku’s Island Express, Genesis: Alpha One which combines a unique mix of rogue-like, FPS, base building and survival elements and  Sword Legacy: Omen, a challenging turn-based tactical RPG with a dark, cartoon-inspired aesthetic.

All three games are currently playable to all attendees of Gamescom at Team17’s booth in hall 8.1.

Genesis: Alpha One

Our planet has been left ravaged by war; pollution and over-exploitation of resources, humanity’s hope lies with the Genesis Program and the promise of a new home. As the Captain of a Genesis star ship, you journey into uncharted space on this ultimate mission and you must create a crew capable of fighting the alien infestations that threaten it. Take DNA from the aliens that you  encounter and splice it with your crew members to give them new abilities and a better chance to prosper within a hostile galaxy.

Your goal: Find new homes for humanity’s DNA and save the species from extinction. Genesis: Alpha One is heading to Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC in 2018.

Sword Legacy: Omen

As Uther Pendragon you will embark on an epic journey through Broken Britannia to avenge your fallen lord and recover the long-lost sword, Excalibur. Fight alongside a rag tag band of unlikely
heroes to defeat your enemies in tense, turn-based tactical combat. Crush your enemies’ willpower and watch them flee the battlefield or even turn on their comrades. Use the environment to your
advantage, moving your heroes into cover and setting the enemy ablaze with explosive barrels before finishing them off with brutal, visceral overkill moves. Sword Legacy: Omen is heading to PC
in 2017.

Yoku’s Island Express

Meet Yoku, the pint-sized postman protagonist of Yoku’s Island Express! Use a unique blend of pinball mechanics, platforming and open world exploration to unlock the secrets of Mokumana
Island, help the locals, awaken ancient deities and much more in this amazing tropical adventure! Yoku’s Island Express is rolling onto Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch™ and PC in 2018.
