Sci-Fi Roguelike Gravity Oddity Teleports onto Nintendo Switch in 2022!

VANCOUVER, British Columbia – July 8, 2021 – Gravity Oddity, the gravity-bending space action roguelike from developer Invincible Cat, fuels up its jetpack for a Summer 2022 launch on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Steam for PC.

Gravity’s gone! Planets have started to shrink and shatter. Survivors create new colonies on floating rocks in space or live lonely lives in their ships. Fortunately, Rio Grande Corp. anticipated this disaster and created the Gravity Boots, empowering people to walk on any surface and live nearly normal lives. But Rio Grande Corp. may have an evil agenda: they’ve kidnapped the protagonist’s roommate, Gary. With Gary gone, how will our hero pay his rent?

Grab those Gravity Boots and go after Gary on a journey through space. Zip across asteroids and leap from ship-to-ship with a handy jetpack and modular raygun capable of teleporting its user to any surface. Fight on ceilings and walls to take out soldiers and turrets while dodging ship security systems. Master gravity in fast-paced, chaotic shootouts emphasizing verticality, precision shots, and platforming skills.

After blasting bad guys and wrecking ships, loot everything to find money, supplies, or one of 80+ stackable mods. Discover synergistic upgrades to empower the starting sidearm, with improvements like bouncing bullets, homing shots, or even spawning a decoy with each reload. Arm up and defeat the boss in each procedurally-generated stage to travel to the next area. Move with caution, as perma-death means the loss of those precious upgrades.

Customize the colorful, cartoony look of Gravity Oddity’s silly sci-fi journey by tweaking the protagonist’s costume and appearance. Coordinate outfits with both the protagonist’s furry friend Newton and their robot to look sharp while teleporting across the galaxy. Even the music changes to match the gameplay: while songs typically start off with piano, intense action amplifies the soundtrack, adding retro synth elements for the ultimate space experience.

“Designing Gravity Oddity has been creatively fulfilling because I’ve worked directly with my community,” said Tim Verrouil, solo developer and founder, Invincible Cat. “I asked them what they’d want in a game, and we came up with this concept together. It was tricky to make combat work on walls and ceilings but with their help, I think we’ve made it very enjoyable!”

Gravity Oddity will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam for PC. It will support English, French, Spanish, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Polish, Russian, Simplified Chinese, South Korean and Japanese.

Free Update Available to Frantic One-Bullet Gunfight Party Game Guilt Battle Arena!

VANCOUVER – August 2, 2018 – Guilt Battle Arena, the frantic one-bullet gunfight party game with local multiplayer for up to four people from publisher Forward XP and developer Invincible Cat, today receives version 3.0 as a free update to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.

In this hyper-cute couch-competitive game, each player has a gun with only one bullet. After firing it, the only way to get it back is to go pick it up, dodging shots all the while. Guilt Battle Arena’s two-button controls make it accessible for anyone, and its heart-thumping action guarantees nonstop fun.

Guilt Battle Arena returns with six new game modes in version 3.0, bringing the total to 13 and offering twice the content for solo play and local multiplayer. Fight through a gauntlet in Cup mode – alone or with three friends – and try to unlock all the medals. Add insult to injury in Heart Stealer mode by taking enemies’ hearts to heal when they’re defeated. Battle alongside a pet in Alien Pet mode, where one character’s gun is swapped with a damage-dealing creature.

Each match in Guilt Battle Arena brings even more shenanigans thanks to four new modifiers – Short Range, Low Gravity, Fast Bullet, and Shoot Behind – bringing the total to 10! Combine multiple modifiers to shake up matches and add flair to kills. Use Low Gravity with Trampoline to simulate fighting in space! Take customization even further with up to 79 insanely adorable costumes for the cartoonish characters.

Those who want to take a breather from competition can set out to defeat the Dreadful Judge and his minions by unlocking levels in Horde mode. Up to two players battle increasingly chaotic streams of enemies to beat your high score and earn bragging rights.

“Guilt Battle Arena is a true learning experience for me, and I’ve loved hearing what people have to say about it,” said Tim Verrouil, sole developer at Invincible Cat. “By implementing that feedback, I’ve made this new version into something I can’t wait to show everyone.”

Guilt Battle Arena is available in English, French, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, German, Italian, Russian, Polish, Japanese, Korean, and Simplified Chinese on the Nintendo eShop, PlayStation Network, Microsoft Store, and Steam for $9.99 USD. Version 3 releases as a free update for those who already own the game on August 2.
