Nintendo’s First-Ever Super Bowl Ad Features Nintendo Switch, The Legend of Zelda!

For the first time ever, Nintendo will run an ad during the Super Bowl. The 30-second spot, which along with a 90-second spot can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/nintendo, builds on the worldwide excitement for the new Nintendo Switch video game system and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild game, both of which launch March 3.

The star of the ad, which is scheduled to run during the game’s fourth quarter, is Nintendo Switch, which combines the power of a home console with the mobility of a hand-held video game system for seamless gameplay anytime, anywhere. The ad also shows off The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which breaks conventions to become the next defining moment in the classic franchise.

The extended cut features Nintendo Switch games including The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (March 3), 1-2-Switch (March 3) Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (April), ARMS (spring), Splatoon 2 (summer), Just Dance 2017 from Ubisoft (March 3) and Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers from Capcom (launch timing TBD). Nintendo Switch launches March 3, 2017 and will be available at a suggested retail price of $399.99.

‘Defenders of the Triforce’ Experience Coming to Canada!

Calling all Zelda enthusiasts! Nintendo is excited to announce that the ‘Defenders of the Triforce’ Experience will soon be making its way to Canada.

In November 2016, Nintendo announced its partnership with SCRAP, the renowned designers of many popular escape room experiences, to create a unique multi-city Puzzle Tour inspired by The Legend of Zelda series. The tour, which was initially announced for eight U.S. cities, has now added three Canadian city stops in Vancouver, Toronto and Montreal.

The experience will let guests interact with classic items and characters seen in The Legend of Zelda series like the Goron, Zora and Kokiri tribes. Discovered items can be used to solve puzzles and move forward into other areas, just like in The Legend of Zelda games.

The tour kicks off today (January 31) in San Francisco. Stay tuned for more information on the Canadian tour schedule.
