Super 64 Levels Up the N64 With a Superior Visual Experience on July 22nd!
WESTFIELD, NJ – June 26, 2019 – The EON Super 64, the first-of-its-kind, plug-and-play solution connecting the Nintendo 64 with modern television and monitors, launches July 22, 2019.
Developed by EON, the creators of the acclaimed GCHD and GCHD Mk-II, the Super 64 fits seamlessly into original hardware and upscales beloved retro classics on modern displays without risky modifications. EON introduces the world’s first Nintendo 64 HDMI adapter that operates without an external power source and yields truly lagless input. The Super 64’s gorgeous upscaled 480p boasts twice the resolution of the original console’s video output. Seriously.
“Slick Mode” enables retro fans to relive the triumphs of yesteryear with even smoother visuals, rounding out jagged edges for a sharper image that makes classics look better than ever. Through EON’s careful attention to detail, the Super 64 boasts the truest representation of color to create the most faithful N64 experience supplanting efforts of typical cable upgrades.
The beloved N64 sold over 32.9 million units since its 1996 debut. The Super 64 builds a bridge of nostalgic perfection between the N64’s analog output and high-definition displays. Nostalgic gamers and competitive players can enjoy their favorite N64 titles on modern setups via HDMI, foregoing the need for heavy CRT televisions or risky console modifications.
EON’s patent pending design is carefully crafted to prevent stress on older hardware and allows the N64 to slot neatly alongside modern platforms.
Delivering an upscaled experience that still champions the original look and feel guided EON’s development process, evident in the Super 64’s form-fitting elegance, brilliant display of colors, and remarkable audio fidelity.
“The Super 64 was designed to celebrate the console that pioneered 3D gaming. We set out to create something that respects the original hardware while delivering the original look and feel,” said Justin Chou, Justin Scerbo, and Allan Chou, founders of EON. “The Super 64 is for everyone seeking to relive those classic experiences, and for a new generation for whom so many memories have yet to be made.”
The EON Super 64 will launch in North America on July 22nd, 2019 for $149.99 USD on Amazon as well as other EON retail partners.

TINY METAL: FULL METAL RUMBLE Deploys July 11th on Nintendo Switch!
TOKYO – June 26, 2019 – TINY METAL: FULL METAL RUMBLE, a turn-based strategy wargame of intrigue with a distinct Japanese flavor from the AAA veterans at AREA 35, Inc., joins the Nintendo Switch and Steam for PC battlefields on July 11, 2019. A demo featuring three campaign maps and two skirmish battlefields will be available on the Nintendo Switch July 8.
As a completely new, standalone sequel, TINY METAL: FULL METAL RUMBLE hearkens to genre classics like Advance Wars while pushing turn-based strategy forward. Master a wealth of new unit types, prevail over new victory conditions with bonus challenges in every map, and witness an epic story of triumph and tragedy penned by Hirotaka Inaba (I Am Setsuna).
FULL METAL RUMBLE gears up for war with an enhanced experience that delivers double the firepower from the original TINY METAL with 39 new campaign missions, 77 skirmish maps, and 21 multiplayer battlefields. Suit up and learn the ropes of battle in a new tutorial mode, preparing cadets for intense firefights utilizing a sleek new UI and detailed pixel art designed by Masayoshi Nishimura (Octopath Traveler).
Bigger, better, and more metal than its predecessor, FULL METAL RUMBLE is designed to test the strategic mettle of commanders in more ways than ever as units fuel up, load up, and move out. Leverage commander powers and special passives to turn the tides of war, sneak through cloaked terrain to ambush enemy forces, and combine unit strength for powerful combo attacks.
On a tour of relentless destruction, the Dinoldan Army begins excavating ancient artifacts with power beyond human comprehension. Only the fiercely independent Commander Wolfram and her White Fangs can save the world before the Dinoldans grow too powerful to stop. Take command of Wolfram’s forces and explore an all-new world map, contesting the Dinoldans across a world rife with secrets.
At every stop, a cast of memorable characters and a stirring soundtrack by acclaimed composer Tomoki Miyoshi (I Am Setsuna, Lost Sphear, STEINS;GATE) bring an emotional, twisting tale to bear. Gripping voice work features Japanese stars like Kenji Tsuda (Death Stranding). The fate of a world ravaged by war hangs in the balance, adding intrigue and surprise to every showdown and revelation.
“The best turn-based strategy games are intensely satisfying and reward clever tactics,” said Hiroaki Yura, producer, AREA 35, Inc. “The titans of the genre inspired the tactical complexity of FULL METAL RUMBLE, a sequel that builds on the first TINY METAL with more ways to play, more strategies to master, and even greater challenges to overcome.”
TINY METAL: FULL METAL RUMBLE will launch July 11, 2019 on Nintendo Switch and Steam for PC. The game will support Japanese and English text and audio localization alongside French, German, and Spanish text translation.
Area 35, Inc. will be demoing FULL METAL RUMBLE July 13-14 at SMASH! Sydney Manga and Anime Show Booth #6-6 in the International Convention Centre Sydney.

Rotating Action Platformer ‘Exception’ Available Soon on Nintendo Switch!
Greenville, SC — June 25th — Traxmaster Software today announced that its debut title, Exception, is coming to PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch this summer. Exception is a combat platformer set inside an elderly woman’s computer overrun by totalitarian malware. Featuring good ol’ run/jump/attack controls, Exception reinvents traditional platforming through a unique transformation mechanic where levels rotate and move, opening up new and exciting gameplay elements.
“As a hardcore NES nerd, I feel inspired by games like Ninja-Gaiden and Castelvania and feel like simplicity is the key to a great gaming experience,” said Will Traxler, Founder of Traxmaster Software. “Exception has this old school vibe with a modern rotating twist that takes advantage of today’s 3D technology. It’s a game which is easy to pick up and play and will bring joy for a novice gamer just as much as it will for a professional speedrunner.”
An old woman’s computer has been taken over by ‘Titan’, a totalitarian virus set to destroy the operating system. Players take on the role of a hero who must vanquish the malicious invader that is crippling the system before it crashes. Using easy controls, traverse through timed byte-sized levels, overcome various obstacles and enemies as quickly as possible to secure a place on one of the online leaderboards catered to different playstyles. Whether the player chooses an evasion tactic or straight up combat, Exception’s classic platforming experience features an innovative level shifting mechanic, which spices up the gameplay and reveals secret pathways and collectables. Combining two-dimensional action with a three-dimensional world, Exception offers a fresh take on the classic platforming experience.

Everything in the world of Geodia is tied together by Sparklite… it’s the life force of the planet, and the inhabitants have learned how to channel it for their own gain. The blue, glowing ore can be harnessed providing a low-level, rechargeable power source, or it can be consumed for a huge surge of power with grave consequences. Geodia’s self-titled “Baron” has devised a plot to mine the world’s Sparklite core to meet his own ends. Mining Sparklite in large quantities, the Baron repurposes the ore to fuel his powerful war machines, but the pollution from the consumed Sparklite is corrupting the world. Animals have turned into violent monsters, and the environment is rotting away.
The stricken land of Geodia has a natural defense in its Sparklite core. Periodically, the core causes a Disruption which rearranges the world, setting back the Baron’s efforts. Our heroine, Ada, must stop the Baron before he can obtain the core and gain the power to create a new world in which he has ultimate power. A plucky mechanic, Ada will need to use her cunning and skills to defeat the Baron’s henchmen across five distinct zones. Ada will have to work with Geodia’s weird and wonderful inhabitants if she’s to face the Baron and put paid to his deadly plans before it’s too late.

Cyber-intrigue comes to Nintendo as Mainlining launches on the Switch!
Thursday 20th June, 2019, Manchester, UK – Merge Games and Rebelephant are proud to announce that Mainlining, the point and click hacking adventure has now arrived on the Nintendo Switch!
Mainlining is an exhilarating foray into the world of cybercrime! The game mixes dark and dry humour with a gripping narrative, that will have you hooked from the very first case. Following the government’s introduction of the BLU Pill Act and the Secret Intelligence Service’s reintroduction of MI7, all online personal data is accessible by the powers that be. Mainlining questions techno-ethics and asks whether it is acceptable for an organisation to have the power to look at personal data – what if somebody else had access to that information?
Mainlining is a refreshing take on the traditional point and click adventure. The entire game takes place on the simulated desktop of the protagonist’s computer. As an MI7 operative, your primary objective is to gather evidence by hacking suspects’ computers and phones in order to facilitate their arrest, and to ensure that the courts have what they need to hand out the longest sentences possible. However, you’ll also have to make judgements on whether the case you’re working on is complete. Move in too quickly and you may miss leads linking your case to much higher profile cyber-criminals. Act too slowly and your suspect may detect you and escape. This means players will need to exercise all their cunning, judgement and skill to catch their suspects and those pulling the strings.
In excess of five hundred criminals are known to operate within your jurisdiction – where will you begin?
Mainlining is the first title from Sam Read’s Rebelephant. Having tasted success as part of the team behind indie-hit, Dream, Sam formed Rebelephant as a vehicle for him to work alongside some of the games-industry’s most creative individuals. To help bring Mainlining to life Sam recruited some award-winning talent:
- Jared Emerson-Johnson (musician whose work includes Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones and more)
- Jill Murray (writer behind Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation and most recently Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate)
- Dave Grey (an extraordinary pixel artist whose previous collaborations include the likes of Microsoft and HBO)
*New for Nintendo Switch*
- Bespoke keyboard input system helps you crack the case!
- Now includes touchscreen support for an immersive experience.
Mainlining is now available for Nintendo Switch and carries a price tag of $14.99 / €14.99 / £11.99. Customers who purchase the game between today and July 4th will receive a 15% discount. Mainlining is also still available on PC via Steam, Humble Bundle, and GOG for $9.99 / €9.99 / £6.99.
