Minesweeper Genius Makes its Explosive Debut on Switch Today!

SYDNEY, NSW – Feb. 12, 2019 – Minesweeper Genius, the modern take on the classic game of logic from developer Mgaia Studio and publisher Blowfish Studios, is now available for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

In Minesweeper Genius, aliens have acquired Aristotle’s DNA and cloned him to conduct experiments in labs filled with explosive land mines. It’s up to players to sweep their way through each level, moving Aristotle from one square to the next en route to the exit while avoiding subterranean dangers. Numbers on each row and column indicate how many mines are near, tasking players with working out where they are without making a costly mistake.

Aristotle’s challenge gets more complicated when special tiles come into play, introducing new obstacles that alter or restrict his movement around the alien labs. Use flags to keep track of where hidden hazards are and enjoy relaxing music while working out solutions.

Minesweeper Genius helps make the rules of Minesweeper more accessible with a learning curve that acclimates players to the mechanics and logic required to solve puzzles in the game’s 130 standard levels. Puzzle experts can then try to sweep through the 55 extra difficult stages. Conquer everything and need a new test? Take on the console-exclusive Custom Level mode, where new puzzles are procedurally generated based on adjustable settings.

“Minesweeper Genius takes me back to our uni days, when we’d procrastinate on preparing for exams by trying to conquer the most ridiculous Minesweeper grids possible,” said Ben Lee, CEO, Blowfish Studios. “I look forward to a new generation enjoying Mgaia’s wonderfully original take on this classic experience now that Minesweeper Genius is available for consoles.”

Minesweeper Genius is now available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One for $5.99 USD / £4.99 GBP / € 5.99 / 7.99 AUD. The game supports English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Chinese, and Japanese.

BioShock Vets’ Arabian Nights Adventure City of Brass Out Now for Nintendo Switch!

CANBERRA, ACT – Feb. 8, 2019 – City of Brass, the Arabian Nights-inspired first-person rogue-lite adventure from the BioShock veterans at Uppercut Games, lashes and slashes its way onto Nintendo Switch™ today.

Enter the City of Brass, a mythological metropolis brimming with both unfathomable riches and countless dangers. While the streets are lined with gold, the town’s denizens have been cursed by love of money, twisting them into an army of the damned. A legion of undead, sorcerers, genies, and other horrors stand in the way of any thieves who seek the city’s treasures.

The hostile locals are not the only obstacle between would-be burglars and the fabled riches, as the city’s gilded landscape is a labyrinthine network filled with deadly booby-traps. However, these pitfalls are a double-edged sword that observant players can wield against enemies. Lure unsuspecting foes into danger and set off snares with the trusty bullwhip, which can also be used to stun adversaries, swing away to safety, and grab distant objects.

Collectibles items, such as relics, gold, and treasure chests, are hidden just about everywhere. Gather wealth to purchase upgrades from helpful genie shopkeeps or buy wishes to gamble for better gear. Power-ups can also be found in treasure chests, so pilfer as much as possible before sands of time expire.

The Nintendo Switch™ edition launches with three unlockable characters (the fast and frail knife fighting Brigand, a spear-throwing Soldier, and the strong but slow Hellion), along with the starting Fool and Traveler duo. This release also features a myriad of improvements over the game’s original version, including new relics, weapons, enemy types, and other enhancements.

“After years working on the BioShock series, we’ve brought that knowledge to bear in City of Brass, which incorporates our love of hack-and-slash gameplay and mythological folklore,” said Ed Orman, co-founder and designer, Uppercut Games. “Now we’re happy to bring City of Brass to the Switch and introduce the Nintendo community to our world while providing existing fans a new way to play and take the experience on the go.”

City of Brass is currently available for $19.99 on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game features English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese (European and Brazilian), Polish, Russian, Turkish, Japanese, and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional) language support. It was financed with help from Screen Australia’s Games Enterprise Program.

BATTLLOON’s transcendental conflicts and whimsical squabbles burst with vibrant visuals and gales of giggles to create a party experience that will keep people of all ages glued to their controllers.

“Take one look at BATTLLOON and anyone can see the kind of over-the-top fun they’re in for,” said John Davis, G&R Representative, UNTIES. “It’s the kind of experience that has drawn attendees at shows like PAX across the showfloor to see what the hell is going on, with gameplay kept them coming back for more. Now we look forward to sharing BATTLLOON with the world.”

BATTLLOON will be available via Nintendo Switch eShop and Steam on Feb. 28. It will support the English and Japanese languages for two to four players locally.
