Nicalis Announces Dungreed For Nintendo Switch, Showcases Diverse Lineup At BICFest 2018!

SANTA ANA, California, September 12, 2018 — Nicalis, Inc. today announced Dungreed, an infinitely replayable 2D side-scrolling action game, on Nintendo Switch™. Developed by Team Horay in Seoul, South Korea, Dungreed lets players assume the role of an adventurer who must explore a continuously evolving dungeon in order to prevent the town from being destroyed.

Dungreed features procedurally generated levels with a variety of environments such as prisons, jungles and lava zones. Players can defeat enemies and advance through the dungeon using powerful magic items and an arsenal of weapons, ranging from rusty swords to cutting-edge sniper rifles. To prepare for the journey ahead, adventurers can train to become stronger and better equipped prior to exploring deeper and encountering the sinister denizens that lurk in the unpredictable dungeon.

At the upcoming Busan Indie Connect Festival 2018 (BICFest 2018) in South Korea, Nicalis will showcase Dungreed in addition to another Korean-developed title, RemiLore: Lost Girl in the Lands of LoreRemiLore is an all-new hack-and-slash action game from developers Pixellore and RemiMory scheduled for release on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation®4, Xbox One and Steam in winter 2018.

“We met both the Dungreed and RemiLore teams at prior BICFest events, and it’s rewarding for us to return and continue our collaborations with them,” said Nicalis president Tyrone Rodriguez. “We hope this year’s show brings us more opportunities to work closely with other Korean developers and introduce their games to more players around the world.”
