Infinite – Beyond the Mind Pounces onto Consoles in Q2 2020!

SYDNEY – Jan. 9, 2020 – Infinite: Beyond the Mind, the futuristic retro action platformer from developer Emilie Coyo and publisher Blowfish Studios, races to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam for Windows PC in Q2 2020.

Raised on battlefields in a world devastated by war, two women who share a bond over their special powers fall under the watchful eye of the tyrannical Beljantaur Kingdom. When one is abducted by Queen Evangelyn and her heavily armed forces, the other must spring into action and rescue her partner from captivity by any means necessary.

Battle as Tanya or Olga through 16 side-scrolling stages rife with enemy troops, platforming challenges, and intense boss fights. Perform acrobatic double jumps and dodges to elude oncoming fire and surmount environmental hazards while closing distance between enemies to cut them down in close combat. Harness the power of mounted gun emplacements to decimate Beljantaur battalions, call on allies to summon screen-clearing bombardments, and blast through waves of hostile gunships in genre-bending high-speed aerial shoot-‘em-up sequences.

Call in the other half of the duo during Tanya or Olga’s fight for freedom to turn the tide on their foes. With the press of a button, a second player can seamlessly join the fray, taking command of a flying robot companion kitted out with long-range weaponry. Rack up high scores by defeating adversaries, avoiding damage, and completing stages quickly.

“With Infinite – Beyond the Mind, I set out to make the game I always wanted to play when I was a child,” said developer Emilie Coyo. “Being able to realize that goal has been a dream come true and can’t wait to share it with PC and console players all over the world later this year.”

Infinite – Beyond the Mind will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam via Windows PC in Q2 2020 for $9.99 USD / €8.99 / £7.99 / $12.99 AUD. It features English and French language support. PAX attendees can check out Infinite – Beyond the Mind in action by visiting Blowfish Studios Jan. 17 -19 at PAX South 2020 in San Antonio, Texas (Booth #12034) and Feb. 27 – March 1 PAX East 2020 in Boston, Mass. (Booth #29044).

Speaking Simulator Begins Hilarious Quest for World Domination January 30th!

BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA – January 8, 2020 – Speaking Simulator, the hilarious game about an android struggling to infiltrate human society, initiates its plan for world domination on Nintendo Switch™ January 30, launching simultaneously alongside the previously announced PC and Mac versions coming to Steam.

At the behest of an adorably malevolent but incredibly inept AI, venture forth into the human world as a robot built to live among them. Customize the android’s appearance, then utilize the latest in humanoid mouth technology to assimilate and ascend. How hard can talking to people be, anyway? Robots do not have social anxiety and existential dread…right?

Start off simple with first dates and job interviews, but as the android further ingrains itself into society, survive public speaking nightmares like wedding toasts and eulogies. Take too long between words or misplace the tongue and the robot will get nervous, causing its face to explode. Humans tend to find this suspicious. It’s hard to blend in when an android’s piston-powered tongue knocks out its teeth.

Simultaneously flail the tongue and maneuver lips with tricky controls to simulate human speech. Speaking Simulator utilizes the most realistic gibberish system in all of gaming, created with real linguistic theory. One hand controls tongue placement, requiring quick presses on red buttons inside the mouth. The other hand elongates or purses the lips to form words. PC players can use webcams to control the android’s mouth movements.

Chase a high score in each level by sounding like a natural speaker. Unlock new upgrades adding layers of difficulty and increasing the score threshold. Use Socio-Optic Dynamics to make just the right amount of eye contact and Expressive Facial Pistons for some good ol’ human eyebrow wiggling. When all that stress is too much, blow off steam at a club in Self Expression Mode, where humans and robots can dance the night away.

“Words are hard, and a lot of us who are unquestionably human take that for granted,” said Jed Dawson, co-founder at Affable Games. “When we started making Speaking Simulator we realized the concept of pushing words out of mouth-holes is actually incredibly funny and gross, and therefore ripe for a comedy game.”

Speaking Simulator will be available in English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Traditional and Simplified Chinese January 30 on Nintendo Switch and PC/Mac via Steam.

Bake ‘n Switch Cooks Up Something Special on Nintendo Switch in Summer 2020!

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Developer, Streamline Games have revealed it will be launching its party brawler, Bake ‘n Switch, on Nintendo Switch in Summer 2020.

Currently available on Wishlist on Steam for PC only, Streamline is pleased to publicly share its plans to release Bake ‘n Switch as the first console game to come out of the independent studio. It was featured as part of the hotly anticipated Nintendo Indie World Showcase, which streamed live on Tuesday 10 December, 10:00 am PST alongside 15 other games. The developer and its publisher, Streamline Media Group, are extremely proud of the reception Bake ‘n Switch has received to date.

“It’s an exciting time for Streamline as the momentum toward the Bake ‘n Switch launch keeps building. The game and the team have been recognized at an international level, winning awards and growing an eager fanbase, so to be selected as part of Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase is another great honor and achievement for the company,” said Alexander L. Fernandez, CEO, Streamline Media Group.

Bake ‘n Switch is a cute and cuddly couch co-op for up to four players with adorable dough creatures bobbing and dancing (yes, dancing!) their way around the worlds they inhabit. But don’t be fooled by its appearance, as this in your face action game offers increasingly challenging levels, baddies and bosses that will make any Baker feel the heat!

Players can team up to punch, merge, and bake as many dough creatures as possible before time runs out, or they can battle it out in PVP mode. Either way, this party game brings folks together, so Bake ‘n Switch goes with Nintendo Switch like butter on bread.

“We always saw the Nintendo Switch system as a go-to platform for our game. The console can handle the high-quality visuals, fun gameplay, and wholly support players’ experience. As a party game at heart, Bake ‘n Switch brings friendly collaboration with a competitive edge,” said Reza Farahmandnia, Sr. Production Manager, Streamline Games. “We have a lot more to bring to the table, and look forward to sharing more in the lead up to Summer when we release the buns!”

Streamline will be showcasing Bake ‘n Switch at consumer events in 2020, looking to get player feedback before release.

Conan Chop Chop Arrives Feb 25th on Nintendo Switch!

OSLO, Norway – Dec 18th, 2019 – Australian developer Mighty Kingdom and Norwegian publisher Funcom are proud to announce February 25th, 2020 as the release date of the upcoming action-adventure game Conan Chop Chop.

“We have had so much fun developing this game, that I actually have mixed feelings about the end being nigh,” admits Mighty Kingdom CEO Philip Mayes. “An action-adventure rogue-lite party-game. Featuring Conan. I mean, what more can you ask for?”

Mighty Kingdom have had a busy year, travelling from Adelaide in South Australia to LA, Cologne and Melbourne to show off Conan Chop Chop, in between development. In October they were named Studio of the Year at Australian Game Developer Awards. “It’s been hard work, but really enjoyable. Some of my favorite moments were in LA and Cologne, where we got to see how much people enjoyed playing Chop Chop. And now that we have polished the game further, I am really looking forward to seeing the reception it will have at launch,” says Philip Mayes.

Conan Chop Chop was cheekily announced an April 1 st, 2019, and therefore at first perceived as an April Fool’s Day joke, but with gamers and pundits alike stating “I wish this were real”. When it was re-announced during E3, it received rave previews. A journalist from Hollywood Reporter noted “The most fun I saw anybody having was with the game Conan Chop Chop”, calling it “a top-notch party game”. Philip Mayes agrees. “It’s the perfect single-player game. But even better with friends.”

Conan Chop Chop will be released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on February 25th.
