Paris, October 31st, 2023 – The most famous Asterix and Obelix are back! In a new trailer, they demonstrate the full extent of their power and abilities. With dynamic animation and breathtaking action, Asterix & Obelix: Slap them All! 2 promises fans and newcomers alike a gaming experience that is both intense and true to the spirit of the series. Asterix & Obelix: Slap them All! 2 is a high-energy 2D Beat’em Up that immerses players in the imaginative world of René Goscinny and Albert Uderzo. Get ready to take down enemies and unleash your strength, either solo or in local co-op… before the sky falls on your head!

Asterix, Obelix and the villagers are interrupted by the sudden arrival of Goudurix, who has come to ask for help. He reveals that his father, Oceanonix, has been imprisoned for a theft he did not commit…

The Aquila of Lutetia, the precious gold emblem of the Roman legions, has just been stolen and an innocent man has been thrown into prison! Asterix promises to investigate and asks Goudurix to stay safely in the village. The two Gallic warriors travel to Lutetia to obtain information from an acquaintance who is reputed to be well-informed about the rumours and intrigues of the city… And it’s obviously with slaps in the face that they will find the answers on their long journey!

Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All! 2 is a high-energy Beat’em Up that takes us on an original story worthy of the greatest Gallic adventures. Explore a multitude of captivating locations: from mysterious ruins nestling in the heart of the forest, through an imposing Roman camp, to majestic Lutetia… Each stage of the journey offers new environments, as your journey takes you to far-flung lands, punctuated by thrilling encounters. And, of course, you can expect a generous helping of slaps in the face! Throughout this hectic adventure, there will be sketches to punctuate your journey, adding a dose of humour and emotion as well as advancing the plot.

This sequel pushes the limits of the action, with more fearsome enemies and bosses. But that’s not all! The experience is enhanced by a host of new features and gameplay improvements. Our intrepid Gauls, Asterix and Obelix, now have new specific moves they can charge up for even more powerful attacks. Battles are more dynamic, richer, smoother than ever, and our heroes can now trigger their Fury mode, increasing their strength, and unleash a devastating Ultimate attack. Our heroes can also destroy some elements of the environment to create chaos, as well as throwing barrels and menhirs at opponents during combat.

Paris, October 27th 2022 – Microids is happy to announce the release of the video game Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram From Hibernia on PC, Xbox consoles and Nintendo Switch! The PlayStation versions will launch on November 4 in North America.

Asterix and Obelix are taking us to Hibernia for a collection of brawls with zero rule! For the very first time in the series, the game is both solo and co-op for up to four players! Romans, hold on to your shield, these Gauls mean business more than ever!

About Asterix & Obelix XXXL: The Ram From Hibernia

The year is 50 BC. Gaul is entirely occupied by the Romans. Well, not entirely! One small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders… Meanwhile, in Hibernia (today known as Ireland) Keratine, chief Whiskitonix’s daughter, is calling Asterix and Obelix to the rescue as they need help to overcome the Roman invasion and bring back her father’s beloved golden ram. A great opportunity for players of all ages to revisit the iconic comic book locations such as the countryside of Gaul, Egypt and even Spain.

About Asterix & Obelix: Slap Them All!

Be prepared to prove your bravery! Asterix and Obelix: Slap them All! is set in 50 B.C.E. Gaul, which is entirely occupied by the Romans. Only one small village of indomitable Gauls still holds out against the invaders. Play as Asterix and Obelix and set sail to the most iconic places in the comic book series while battling Roman legionaries, pirates, brigands and even the dreaded Normans.

Mr Nutz Studio is in charge of developing Asterix and Obelix: Slap them All! and making this adventure as faithful to the original material as possible. The developers chose to go with an artistic direction very close to the comic book where the characters, the scenery and the animations are hand drawn. It’s a real tribute to the 2D animated classics and is executed in a style that will surely appeal to Asterix fans and retro gamers alike.

Paris, October 1, 2019 – The remastered action/adventure game Roman Rumble in Las Vegum (Asterix & Obelix XXL2) is coming out today on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The remaster of this 2006 critically acclaimed cult classic brings improved graphics and new features to the timeless hit, see the details below!

Whether you’re a diehard fan of the Gaulish tribe or have just discovered their adventures, the action and adventure game Roman Rumble in Las Vegum is accessible to all with three levels of difficulty. Young and old players will enjoy this thrilling adventure in Las Vegum – the amusement park created by Julius Caesar. As they make their way through the park’s various themed areas, such as Lutetia, Little Venetia, LuckSore and Pirate Island, they will explore richly detailed and colorful environments.

In Roman Rumble in Las Vegum, players set off on an adventure to Las Vegum thanks to the inseparable Asterix and Obelix, and not to forget their faithful companion Dogmatix, who also does his bit to help fight the armies of Roman legionaries! Players will be able to freely switch between the two Gauls to make the most of their characteristics: Asterix uses the magic potion to help him overcome Roman hordes and can make his way through the smallest spaces with ease, while Obelix uses his incredible strength to destroy seemingly impassable obstacles.

New features of the remastered version

Enhanced graphics:

• New textures and models for all characters and enemies.
• New textures and lighting for environments.

Improved gameplay:

• A new system of store that changes and adds upgrades compared with the original game. These stores are located in the six game environments and allow players to increase their skills thanks to new techniques, combos and Furies. This system is similar to a conventional skills tree.
• Cosmic Strike and Pantry: two new skills to help overcome enemies.
• Health bar upgrade: the health bar can be upgraded as the player progresses through the game in order to reach a higher maximum health level.
• Addition of three difficulty levels: easy, normal and hard.

A new addition to the remastered version: challenges!

• Challenges are bonus missions focused on fighting. The aim is to beat as many Romans as possible within a given time.
• There are two challenges in each of the six game environments, making 12 in total.
• The bronze rank is easily accessible and is a good way to earn money but reaching the Gold rank is a real challenge!

A new collectibles system:

• Postcards are now hidden in the levels, collecting all of them requires to fully explore the game.
• Figurines, now in 3D, can be unlocked in the shop.
• A new Fast Travel system: once you unlocked a level, you can easily go back thanks to fast travel and find the missing collectibles!
