DLC Ashes of Elrant Now Available on Nintendo Switch!

Author: (Germany – 7th August 2025) – Deck13 Spotlight and Umami Tiger, the newly founded Studio from Matthias Linda, are proud to announce Ashes of Elrant the official DLC for the masterpiece and award winning indie JRPG Chained Echoes is released today, August 7th for PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
BIGGER THAN BIG!
With easily up to 10 – 15 hours of fresh content, including sidequests and hidden secrets, Ashes of Elrant is more than just a regular DLC. It is a new chapter within the universe of Chained Echoes, offering tons of interesting background information for experienced players. Find out more about the Order of Leonar and its roots. Meet a new playable character, the White Wolf, whose full name can now be discovered in the game.
A fully fleshed out Fishing Mini Game has also made it into the DLC and besides the pure joy it offers, we’ve also hidden a rewarding song inside this Mini Game which is now also available through Spotify and other common streaming services. A special shout out to Defy the Laws of Tradition.
Ashes of Elrant is a triumphal DLC which costs Euros 9.99 but is a huge offering that will not disappoint!

An enticing and compelling DLC, Ashes of Elrant builds on an already classic offering of Chained Echoes and presents another fresh momentum to a game that captured the imagination of JRPG players. Ashes of Elrant takes place right before the end of Chained Echoes and whilst you and your clan are preparing for the final fight, a new call for help reaches the Crimson Wings. The ensuing mission will reveal more about the origin of the Order of Leonar and Lenne’s past. What challenges await you in a new land where nothing is as it seems? The long list of new and fascinating features is impressive and includes visiting many new areas that will look and feel vibrant and ready to explore. Over 40 new enemies and bosses, fresh equipment and many new items, plus compelling mini games. Along with its superb presentation, over 15 new music tracks will be released!

Ashes of Elrant offers more of what fans and media loved: A new land to explore, more than 40 new monsters and bosses, 15 new tracks by mastermind Eddie Marianukroh (and maybe once again an interesting spin by an external band. Remember the turtles? Well, well…), gorgeous pixel art and finally a fishing minigame. Which isn’t mini. Trust us.
The ‘Crimson Wings’ are needed once more!
Ashes of Elrant takes players to a new land, away from Valandis. It is set right before the final fight of Chained Echoes so you can prepare yourself for meeting your beloved heroes once again. The Clan of the Crimson Wings has to answer a call for help from the land of Elrant. A land where nothing is as it seems.
Fans will learn more about the background story of Valandis and also get a deeper look at the characters and their motivations. And with the White Wolf also someone really, really special within the history of Valandis will join the cast.
