Montpellier, France – July 11th, 2023 – Solo developer Benjamin Kiefer aka BenStar and indie publisher Dear Villagers (Fabledom, Souldiers) have today revealed that their twin-stick roguelite platformer Revita is getting a physical release for Switch and PlayStation 4|5, courtesy of Red Art Games (www.redartgames.com). Revita physical editions will be available during Q4 2023 and will cost $34.99 / €34.99 with a Deluxe Edition adding a double-sided poster, acrylic stand, and sticker sheet.

“Revita was heavily inspired by 16-bit platformers, back when all video games were physical cartridges, so having Revita available as a limited edition physical release feels like the way it was always meant to be”, said Benjamin Kiefer aka BenStar, developer of Revita. “Reception for Revita has been overwhelmingly positive, so I’m thrilled that people are excited to proudly display Revita on their shelf!”

In Revita, climb through an ominous clocktower and battle through a series of procedurally generated encounters with foes and challenges in order to uncover lost memories and discover the mysteries of the melancholic world. Play as a nameless child with no sense of who or where they are and exchange health for upgrades as the game dares the player to play on a razor’s edge!

Revita is available digitally on PC, Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Xbox One, and is playable in English, French, German, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, and Simplified Chinese.

Friday 7th July, 2023 – Today sees the release of Garlic, an precision-platformer, published by Ratalaika Games and from France indie developer Sylph!

The premise is simple!

Garlic presents itself as a simple and unpretentious game with endless challenges. However, our onion headed hero faces many arduous foes and dangers, whilst platforming his way to the top of the Sacred Tower to meet with the Cyber Goddess!

Complemented with a compendium of mini-games, 12 zones, each containing nine levels, plus one special boss, marks this as one feast of action. Garlic coins, tons of enemies with some neat variations of environments for each zone keeps interest high, reactions sharp and skills to the max.

Denver, USA – July 6th, 2023 – Independent game studio Hilltop Studios, in collaboration with Versus Evil, have revealed more info about its upcoming narrative-driven deduction adventure game Lil’ Guardsman ahead of its launch later this year on PC, Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox Series consoles!

Lil’ Guardsman puts players in the role of a young girl who finds herself covering for her dad, the head castle guardsman. As she interrogates an array of fun and weird characters trying to gain entry to their city walls, you must discover each visitor’s true intentions through cunning dialogue and a clever use of her toolbox of investigative items.

This new blog post provides an overview of the factions you’ll meet whilst falling victim to the Sprawl’s lax child labor laws. The current ruler, Princess Desdemona, is nearly of age, and suitors from two neighboring nations are vying to woo her. On one hand, there’s the ruler of the ancient warrior women led Marvagh Empire, which was founded on the guiding principle of “If your husband is hungry, he should make his own goddamn dinner.” They tend to solve their property, succession, and legal disputes through trial by combat. On the other hand, there’s the mining Kingdom of Petrard’s Prince Finius, a wayward playboy who just wants to have a rollicking good time, but his parents insist he marry to guarantee their royal line.

These aren’t the only factions you’ll encounter, as there’s also the Goblin Liberation Army (GLA), full of righteous fury that their people built The Sprawl while humans revel in the fruits of their labor. Word has it that the royal wedding will be the current regime’s undoing. There’s also the Mages Guild, a secretive and mysterious sort. Typically, mages are solitary practitioners, but sometimes they must gather together when greater amounts of raw power is required for their spells and experiments. Whatever could they be planning?
