Luigi Accidentally Swaps the Colours of the Nintendo 2DS System!

Vancouver, B.C., Oct. 5, 2016 –  Due to an unforeseen “incident” at the Nintendo 2DS factory, Nintendo announces that the hardware’s current colour scheme will be changed. (Footage of said “incident” can be viewed here: https://youtu.be/V4JyT_fu0Bs.)

Nintendo announces Luigi accidentally swaps the colours of the Nintendo 2DS System.

Old Look:

Black front with red or blue on the sides.

New Look (Not At All Caused By Luigi Accidentally Entering the Wrong Manufacturing Code):

Red or blue on the front, black on the sides.

This new colour swap will be remembered alongside other such innovations as jelly and peanut butter, or roll and rock. Even Mario approved and decided that the new look will start replacing the old one, so everyone should see the colour-swapped Nintendo 2DS systems appear in stores this November.

Despite all these changes, the price stays the same! You can still pick up the Nintendo 2DS system at a suggested retail price of only $109.99, with the Mario Kart 7 game pre-installed in specially marked packages. At a price like that, you could even pick up one for every young gamer in the family!

About Nintendo 2DS:

Nintendo 2DS comes with fun built-in entertainment options and applications to take photos and videos, plus wireless access to Nintendo eShop. The design makes it easy for smaller hands to hold. The system includes two screens (including a touch screen) and plays Nintendo 3DS games, plus nearly all Nintendo DS and Nintendo DSi games, in 2D. For more information about Nintendo 2DS, visit http://www.nintendo.com/en_CA/2ds/.

Many of Nintendo’s most popular and well-received Nintendo 3DS games starring characters like Mario, Zelda, Yoshi and our very own accidental colour designer Luigi are part of the Nintendo Selects collection and now available at a suggested retail price of only $29.99 each. For a full list of Nintendo Selects games, visit http://www.nintendo.com/en_CA/nintendo-selects.

Yooka Laylee to be available in digital and physical formats!

With everyone safely back in their office chairs, development progresses unhindered on Yooka-Laylee. As we get closer to launch and our plans take final form, we’re finally able to clarify many of your most burning inquiries and requests. One such query we’re delighted to tackle today is the ever-booming call for a boxed version of Yooka-Laylee. Do we have plans for a boxed release? Today we can confirm that the answer is, yes!

We’re delighted to be able to offer Yooka-Laylee in both digital and boxed flavours in time for the game’s launch in Q1 2017. As we speak, our business badgers are busily burrowing away on an initiative that will allow Kickstarter backers to upgrade their digital pledge to a physical version, if they choose to do so. We’re not ready to share the exact details just yet, but very soon you should be able to stick your head in the badger hole and look for yourself.
