Solo Sails This Summer Onto Nintendo Switch!

Thursday 18th July, 2019 – Manchester, England: Team Gotham and Merge Games are delighted to announce that Solo: Islands of the Heart, the colourful and thought-provoking puzzle experience, is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this Summer!

Solo is a game about love. About love as fuel, the force that drives us.

It is a universal feeling, but each of us experiences it in a different way. Individually, it holds different meanings depending on a variety of factors such as culture, gender, sexuality or traumas. That’s why Solo explores this theme in an introspective way, to have the players identify and reflect on their own experiences.

Solo is a contemplative puzzler set on a gorgeous and surreal archipelago. Reflect on your loving relationships by exploring contemplative, dream-like islands.

  • Reflect on love’s place in your life with a personal and introspective branching narrative.
  • Combine blocks with different properties offering multiple solutions for most puzzles.
  • Contemplate and explore a living world: take photos of the charming, colourful islands amidst tranquil tunes or play the guitar for cute creatures.

Nature and contemplation are also a huge part of Solo – you could feed the animals or just sit on a bench and take the time to think. After all, it’s up to you – Solo provides you with the opportunity to explore at your own pace.

The world is divided into archipelagos, and each archipelago is formed by small islands. Each island represents a unique puzzle the sailor will have to solve before getting to the Sleeping Totems and awakening them to answer a question about love and relationships. Using boxes, each with different properties and behaviours, the sailors can build their own paths to the Sleeping Totems on each island.

However, as is the case with love, most puzzles offer no unique solution.

Solo: Islands of the Heart releases on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One soon. The Xbox One version will be released on the 31st July, and the Nintendo Switch version will be available on the 1st August. Solo will be coming to PlayStation 4 very soon, with a date to be announced shortly. The game will be priced at £14.99/ $19.99/ €19.99.

Northgard Declares War on Nintendo Switch in September!

BORDEAUX, France – July 18, 2019 – Northgard, the acclaimed, million-selling Viking strategy game from independent French studio Shiro Games, lays siege to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on Sept. 26, 2019. Alongside this announcement, Shiro is also excited to unveil a free new expansion for the PC release, Northgard: Conquest, and a tabletop game, Northgard: Uncharted Lands.

Take charge of a Viking clan from the couch or on the go with Northgard’s console-optimized control scheme, giving tacticians just as much command with a gamepad or Joy-Con as they have with a keyboard and mouse. The console release features all the content currently found in the PC version, including the Ragnarok and Relics updates, along with six clans, a lengthy campaign, cooperative and ranked competitive online modes, and more. A physical release from distributor Merge Games will also be available from retailers.

Northgard: Uncharted Lands is a brand-new board game set in the Northgard universe. It transforms the Viking clan action, resource gathering, village building, and strategic scheming from the digital title into a visually-striking tabletop experience steeped in Norse mythology.

Aimed at strategy fans of all ages and experience levels, Northgard: Uncharted Lands is designed to be played by two to five players. As with the popular PC version, players take control of their own Viking clan to explore and conquer new territories, brave the harshest of winters, fight (or befriend) mythical beings and creatures, and defeat any foe on the road to ultimate victory. Shiro Games will share further details about the board game later this year.

Northgard: Conquest is the next major free expansion for popular strategy game’s original PC version for Windows, Mac, and Linux. It features a new asynchronous, procedurally-generated campaign mode. This expansion allows players to cooperatively chart their way to victory with each player receiving tailor-made missions and objectives, ensuring each playthrough is radically different from the next. Northgard: Conquest is scheduled to debut in October 2019.

Shiro Games will be present at gamescom 2019 to showcase all of Northgard‘s upcoming projects, as well as its forthcoming cooperative action survival game Darksburg, to select media. Press attending gamescom are encouraged to schedule appointments now.

Northgard was originally released via Steam Early Access on February 22, 2017, where it quickly rose to become one of the most popular strategy games on the platform, selling more than 1 million copies. The game officially launched out of Early Access on March 7, 2018 and was one of the highest-rated PC strategy titles to be released that year, with a Metascore of 80.

Masochistic Platformer ‘Robbie Swifthand and the Orb of Mysteries’ Available Soon on Switch!

London, United Kingdom — July 15th, 2019 — Kiss Publishing and Pixel Reign today announced that the action puzzle platformer, Robbie Swifthand and the Orb of Mysteries, is available today for preorder on the Nintendo Store ahead of its release on Nintendo Switch on August 1st. Already available on Steam with Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions planned, Robbie Swifthand is a hardcore 2D platformer featuring psychologically maddening levels designed to deceive, outsmart, surprise or confuse the player, all while providing a sadistically enjoyable experience.

“Robbie Swifthand was born out of our love for high difficulty 2D platformers and our slightly sick sense of humor,” said Angelos Gkamiliaris from Pixel Reign. “The levels have obstacles with minds of their own where everything is designed to kill you. Or at least to inflict severe psychological pain that will drive even the most hardcore platformer enthusiast to madness.”

We are delighted to release our first Nintendo Switch title and are very proud that it has been received so well,” said Darryl Still, CEO of Kiss Publishing. “Working with Angelos and his team has been a pleasure and they have produced a crackerjack of a game.”

Sent to save humanity, Robbie Swifthand is not your usual hero, as his only driving force is treasure. So when he is summoned into the temple by a little spirit and tasked with finding the three parts of the Orb of Mystery, Robbie takes this as a quick cash grab opportunity and immediately accepts. It’s a temple full of treasure, after all! But Robbie soon finds out that not everything is as it seems…

The goal in each level is to find the orb and throw it into the yellow vortex, utilizing platforming mechanics such as running, jumping, crouching and even flying while trying to evade numerous traps like falling platforms, swinging axes, electricity balls, flamethrowers and many more fatal obstacles along the way. With three difficulty modes, Robbie Swifthand can quickly transform from a fun casual platforming experience into one that will make even the best platforming veteran cry. Featuring over 90 psychology-based levels over four worlds with plenty of secrets to unlock, unique boss fights, atmospheric music and a humorous storyline, Robbie Swifthand and the Orb of Mysteries delivers a polished platforming experience filled with charming details.

Robbie Swifthand has already been nominated for four awards including the Nordic Game Discovery Contest 2019, the Indie Game Cup at White Nights 2018 in Prague and the Indie Prize at Casual Connect London 2018. Working with Unity, Pixel Reign were selected as speakers at Unite Berlin 2018 to showcase the game as a perfect example of the platform’s 2D capabilities.
