Mainlining is an exhilarating foray into the world of cybercrime! The game mixes dark and dry humour with a gripping narrative, that will have you hooked from the very first case. Following the government’s introduction of the BLU Pill Act and the Secret Intelligence Service’s reintroduction of MI7, all online personal data is accessible by the powers that be. Mainlining questions techno-ethics and asks whether it is acceptable for an organisation to have the power to look at personal data – what if somebody else had access to that information?

Mainlining is a refreshing take on the traditional point and click adventure. The entire game takes place on the simulated desktop of the protagonist’s computer. As an MI7 operative, your primary objective is to gather evidence by hacking suspects’ computers and phones in order to facilitate their arrest, and to ensure that the courts have what they need to hand out the longest sentences possible. However, you’ll also have to make judgements on whether the case you’re working on is complete. Move in too quickly and you may miss leads linking your case to much higher profile cyber-criminals. Act too slowly and your suspect may detect you and escape. This means players will need to exercise all their cunning, judgement and skill to catch their suspects and those pulling the strings.

In excess of five hundred criminals are known to operate within your jurisdiction – where will you begin?

Mainlining is the first title from Sam Read’s Rebelephant. Having tasted success as part of the team behind indie-hit, Dream, Sam formed Rebelephant as a vehicle for him to work alongside some of the games-industry’s most creative individuals. To help bring Mainlining to life Sam recruited some award-winning talent:

• Jared Emerson-Johnson (musician whose work includes Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, Game of Thrones and more)
• Jill Murray (writer behind Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation and most recently Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate)
• Dave Grey (an extraordinary pixel artist whose previous collaborations include the likes of Microsoft and HBO)

Pawarumi is an electric, neuron reactive, 3D shoot’em up set in a futuristic yet pre-Columbian inspired universe. Featuring a game mechanic inspired by rock-paper-scissors: it lets the player maximize damage, heal its shield or charge a super attack, simply by shooting with the optimal weapon on the right enemy type.

Graceful Explosion Machine creators Vertex Pop today released the latest trailer revealing some gameplay details of the upcoming vibrant beat-em-up and run ’n gun hybrid for Nintendo Switch and PC, Super Crush KO. Currently being showcased at E3, Super Crush KO has players take control of Karen, a tough and fashionable brawler in a colorful world overrun by frantic robot enemies. Karen must wipe them out using punches, kicks and long-range combat in fluid combos on the way to save her cat Chubbz and (while she’s at it) humanity.

The trailer demonstrates special ground and aerial moves that players can obtain by visiting various food carts across the city. A pizza slice gives them the “Uppercut Slice”, a salty pretzel grants the “Twister Drill,” while salty sweet popcorn awards players with the “Air Pop” maneuver. Super Crush KO offers exhilarating fast-paced shoot-and-beat-em-up action, where players mix different moves into various easy-to-execute combos to launch waves of robots into the sky, juggle them and smash them into pieces.
