Save Me Mr Tako Fights For Peace On Nintendo Switch!
SANTA ANA, California, October 30, 2018 — Nicalis, Ink. today announced the release of Save me Mr Tako!, an all-new invertebrate adventure out now for Nintendo Switch™ and Steam. Starring a peaceful little octopus named Mr Tako, Save me Mr Tako! is a charming throwback-style platformer set in a world where humans and octopodes are at war.
The journey begins when Mr Tako sets out to resolve the conflicts that are tearing the octopus and human worlds apart. Along the way, players can discover 50 different hats, each giving Mr Tako a unique ability that will help him solve puzzles, defeat tenacious bosses and advance through 16 mysterious dungeons located across six connected worlds.
A heartfelt homage to classic monochromatic portable gaming, Save me Mr Tako! lets players choose their favorite color scheme by selecting from numerous four-color palette options. The sizes of the character sprites are also intentionally limited and the game’s original soundtrack uses chiptune instrumentation to complete the authentic retro vibe.
Save me Mr Tako! is designed by developer Christophe Galati and co-developed with Nicalis. The game is rated E10+ by the ESRB and releases today as a digital download for Nintendo Switch and the Steam platform for $14.99.
