New Sparklite Gameplay Trailer Premiered!
Manchester, UK, Aug. 19, 2019 — During Gamescom 2019, Nintendo shined a bright light on the best indie titles coming to the Switch with the Indie World livestream. Sparklite was one such bright star and the new trailer gave gamers a glimpse of what to expect in this charming adventure. For those hoping to learn more, we’ve got a deep dive into the weapons and gadgets that you’ll use when exploring and a dev diary focused on Ada, the hero of Sparklite.
Across Sparklite’s five diverse procedurally generated biomes, an abundance of mystery and challenges lie in wait and it’s dangerous to explore unprepared. With Sparkmaster Rizzle’s trusty Workshop of Wonders open in town, our hero Ada is always only a stone’s throw away from upgrading her arsenal for the enemies and puzzles that lie ahead.
From either harnessing the power of the Boom Balloon which allows Ada to quickly dispatch enemies with remote control precision, to the quick firing bursts of energy from the Spark Slinger, there’s always a weapon on hand to deal with any given situation. With Sparklite upping the ante with several challenging boss battles such as the Lumbering Titan, Timbert and his treacherous gremlins, Ada’s Rocket Boots provide her with short, concentrated bursts of speed to both avoid foes and jump over large gaps to catch that hard to reach chest of loot! Or take it up another level with the powerful Spark Blitzer which harnesses Sparklite to discharge an intense spike of energy with devastating precision!
As well as Ada’s array of high-powered weaponry, she also has a wealth of gadgets at her disposal. From her companion, Wingnut’s enhancing Flare Bang, to Ada’s own handy Multi-Tool Wrench, Sparklite has enough tools in its box for any budding explorer come release day! These are but a handful of the weapons and tools Ada will utilize when taking on the perilous foes Professor Corwin touched on in detail in last month’s Bestiary of Brutal Baddies.
Whilst you catch up on how you’ll be filling up your armoury in Sparklite, drop by and add the game to your Steam Wishlist where Merge Games is running a Steam wishlist promotion for exclusive content ahead of launch, including a chance to play the game early! We’re energized by our community’s excitement for the game and want to reward the fans as we get closer to the October release.

Secrets of Sparklite EXPOSED in Professor Corwin’s Bestiary of Brutal Baddies!
Manchester, UK, July 16th, 2019 — We all need a little help now and then. Luckily, adventurers ready to tackle the perils of Sparklite can get a leg up on their foes thanks to Professor Corwin’s Bestiary of Brutal Baddies of Geodia! Sparklite, the colorful action-adventure from Red Blue Games and Merge Games, will be coming to PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One this October. We want to give players an early heads-up on a few of the cantankerous critters they’ll encounter on their journey!
Geodia is home to many docile and beautiful animals, however, not all is well in this usually-peaceful land! The power-hungry Baron’s nefarious mining activities have altered and polluted Geodia’s once-majestic Biomes. The animals residing in these areas have been affected too; transforming into mutated and aggressive creatures. Continued mining is causing Geodia’s landscape to shift, changing its layout with each Fracture and further affecting the creatures. Our hero, Ada, has undertaken a great and difficult cause; put a stop to the Baron, his Titans, and their pollutive mining, and reverse the effects they’ve had on Geodia and its inhabitants.
To aid you, Professor Corwin, Geodia’s foremost expert on Geodian wildlife, was kind enough to catalogue some of the mutated creatures you’ll encounter as you journey through the Biomes in Geodia. Needless to say, this should help you and Ada on your quest!

Sparklite is a roguelite brawler-adventure. Battle foes in top-down action using an arsenal of gadgets, guns, and gear. Explore dangerous corners of the world, take down titans of the mining industry, and save the Sparklite!
Everything in the world is tied together by Sparklite… it’s the life force of the planet, and the inhabitants have learned how to channel it for their own gain. It can be harnessed, or it can be consumed for a surge of power with grave consequences.
The “Baron” has devised a plot to mine the world’s Sparklite core. He mines Sparklite and burns/consumes it to fuel his powerful war machines, but the pollution from the consumed Sparklite is corrupting the world. Animals have turned to violent monsters, and the environment is rotting away. But the world has a natural defense in its Sparklite core. Periodically, the core causes a Disruption which rearranges the world, setting back the Baron’s efforts. If the Baron can obtain the core, he will gain the power to create a new world where he has ultimate power.
Our hero, Ada, must travel to each zone of the world to shut down its Digsite, lowering the Baron’s defenses so that she can stop him before it’s too late…
